Aria wanted to figure out how to be able to run the business without Raegan.
She knew that Raegan still wanted to find her job in journalism. That is what she worked so hard for in school and had put on hold to help her instead, so Aria had to figure it out and be okay with working in the shop alone.
She did great the first day, staying behind the counter and selling a few rings and a bracelet or two.
She felt so accomplished and wanted to treat herself to some dinner. She didn’t even feel the need to go on her drive that she did. She just wanted dinner.
She was just going to go to the town over from Celebration and get something to eat there.
But as she drove out of town, her car that was custom made for her and her condition that allowed her to drive without issues, started to make noise.
She pulled over and turned the engine off and then walked around the front to see if she could see what was wrong.
She didn’t see anything wrong and nothing was smoking or anything. So she got back in the car and started driving again, but the engine started making those noises again.
Aria sighed and drove a little further, trying to find a place to turn around when she spotted a small neon sign that was lit up. It said ‘Garage’ on it.
Aria worried her lip in her teeth, debating.
She had to try. She needed a car. It was hard to get the things she needed just by walking. She couldn’t do her job without a car.
And her car was custom. So it was especially important.
She turned down the long drive-way and saw that there was a light on in the garage.
Her car started to make more noises and she sighed but made it to the garage before she turned the car off.
She turned in her seat to get her purse and get her crutches ready to get out of the car when someone hit her window, making her jump.
She turned and looked out the window and her eyebrows raised when she saw the giant, handsome man outside her window.
She rolled it down when he gestured for her to do so.
“What are you doing here?”
“Sorry?”
“What are you fucking doingherewoman?”
“I’m here to get my car fixed? This is a garage isn’t it?”
He blinked and then nodded, and she went on, “Do you fix cars?”
He was more handsome than he had a right to be, but he was also rude and Aria didn’t like it.
He nodded again, “Not these kinds of cars though.”
She felt her face fall and then she lifted her chin, “Thank you for your time.”
She started her car and the man put his hand in her window to stop her from driving, “Fuck woman. You can’t drive it like that. Don’t you hear that?”
She looked at him like he was crazy, “Yes? I hear it. It’s why I’m here. I’m not stupid.”
He let out a growl and her eyebrows raised high again, “Get the fuck out of the car. You can’t drive it like this.”
She shook her head, “You said you don’t fix cars like mine. I need to find a garage that does. Thanks.”
He shocked her when he opened the car door, “Get out. You could hurt yourself if you drive it like this.”
