She still had that.

And all he had seen of her was her, well, her pussy, as he had called it.

He hadn’t even gotten to anything else on her body before she passed out on him and maybe it was a good thing.

Otherwise, things would be even harder right now.

She pulled her pillow close and shut her eyes.

This wasn’t helping. She needed a distraction. Something.

She picked up her phone and saw that someone had messaged her and she didn’t know who it was at first.

Then she read it and it said: You left? Why did you leave? You were in my bed asleep.

She bit her lip as another tear slid free and another message popped up: I will come get you. We weren’t finished. You are mine now, Honor.

She threw her phone across the room and was glad that she had locked all the doors and had shut the blinds downstairs before going to see Gage.

She sat against her headboard and wrapped her legs around her knees and put her head down on the pillow that she was still holding.

Someone pounded on the back door and she looked over and saw her phone buzzing on the floor.

The screen was lit up and she knew it was Gage, but she didn’t care.

He ruined everything and she didn’t want to see him again.

He could go fuck himself if he thought she would come crawling back into his life and bed again.

Nope and more nope and a whole fucking mountain of hell nope right there.

Her phone buzzed again and then she heard Gage yelling, “Honor? Are you there sunshine?”

She put her fingers in her ears and her head down on her legs again.

She didn’t want to hear his voice or see his face again.

Even though she knew that it would be all she could see and all she would dream about later.

She had never in her life been so angry and heartbroken and sad.

She thought he was everything. But he was just another man, looking for an innocent woman to put a notch into his bedpost before he moved on.

But in her case, he was looking to end a witness to the crime he commited.

Well, she wasn’t going to tell and he could still fuck off.

She took a deep breath and then another.

It was better this way. She just had to convince her mind of that fact.

ChapterFive

Gage

He knew the minute he checked in with Sean and leaving Honor sleeping in his bed it was a mistake.

He wanted to be wrapped up in her and he hated that he wasn’t.
