He knew what he wanted from her, but he also knew that he was too broken for a woman like her.
Or so he thought. He never expected to snap and throw her on his bed and eat her out more than once.
Nor that she would orgasm so quickly the first time, or that he would fucking love her flavor and seeing her so far gone in her pleasure and screaming out his name.
That was his favorite thing in the entire world. He did regret not revealing all of her perfect body to his eyes, but that could wait.
When she passed out in his bed, he went downstairs to get her some water and to let Sean know he was going to be busy for the rest of the night, but Sean had texted and said that the fucking Popov’s were trying to get to Lorielle.
And Gage wouldn’t allow that. He rushed to his office and had called Sean and found out what he needed to do to help.
He wanted to leave Honor here. It was safer than her own apartment and he was just getting ready to come upstairs to get his vest and a few of his guns, when his phone rang.
He didn’t even look to see who it was, just assumed it was Sean, when a deep voice came over the other end, “So, the O’Brien men have a weakness after all. In the form of soft looking women. It will bring such joy to my life to break them after we have killed you.”
Gage’s stomach dropped to his toes and he spouted off some nonsense, wanting to keep Honor safe, no matter what.
The Popov’s couldn’t know what she meant to him. They would hurt her to get to him.
She was his weakness, just like the fucker had said.
And yet, she didn’t make him feel weak. He felt the best he had since Renee died, he just had to make the Popov’s believe that she was nothing, even though she was everything to him.
He kept throwing shit at Popov and knew the man didn’t believe him.
Well, if he thought that he could get close to Honor, he had another thing coming.
Gage hung up the phone and ran upstairs, knowing he needed to get Honor to Sean’s house, or to let her know that he would keep her safe from his world.
He hated that he put her in this position in the first place, and while it wasn’t his intention, now that he found her, she was his and that was it.
He hadn’t felt this settled since Renee died. Hadn’t felt this peace since then and now that Honor was in his life, he wasn’t going to let her go.
He didn’t feel as broken in her presence and fuck it all, he wanted to savor being in her arms and go further than what they had done.
The minute he walked up the stairs, it felt empty and he looked in his room and the bed was empty.
He hurried to the bathroom, but was also empty and he felt his stomach drop.
“Sunshine? Where are you?”
He didn’t hear her and he knew she was gone.
“FUCK!”
He ran downstairs and saw her car was gone and he got in his and drove straight to her store and saw her car parked there.
He was glad he had used her phone to call his so he had her number and he knocked on the door after texting her.
She didn’t answer him and he hated it.
Why would she leave?
He felt his stomach drop when he remembered the call the Popov’s made to his phone and he knew then and there that she must have heard him.
He wanted to curse, and get his woman, but his phone rang and he had a job to do, so he rushed off to Sean’s house.
