He shut his eyes and then opened them, and she saw how full of love they were.

“You are my sunshine in the darkness. The light I crave and need to be the man you need me to be.”

She smiled, “I will always be that for you.”

He nodded, “I know. So, are you okay with all of this? Will you go with me to talk to my parents? I think they would like to meet you. To meet the woman who made me Gage again. Not just the machine I was.”

She nodded, “I would love to. I just have to let Truth know and we can go whenever. But, be warned. My parents will also want to meet you.”

He laughed, “I’m ready. I have faced scarier things.”

She laughed, “You haven’t met my dad.”

Gage pretended to be scared and she smacked his chest, “I love you.”

He kissed her, “Not as much as I love you.”

Gage

After going with Honor to her work and kissing her breathless and thanking Truth for helping him, Gage went over to Sean’s.

Sean could see how settled he was and the others in the room did as well.

Cillian sat back against the couch and his eyebrows were wide. “This is new. I think Gage is happy.”

Everett laughed and Gage smirked at him, “Finding a woman does that to you.”

Gavin just smiled at him and Cillian shook his head and Sean held his hand out and Gage shook it, “Congratulations. You deserve it, Gage.”

Gage nodded and they sat down and got to work.

He hadn’t been here since he left almost ten years ago and he hadn’t missed it, until now.

He looked over at Honor and she squeezed his hand.

She had held it since they drove toward his past and hadn’t let go once.

“Are you okay?”

He shook his head, “I want to be, but I’m nervous.”

She smiled, “I understand that. I really do. I’m here. I will always have your back and will be at your side through the entire thing. I know your parents will be happy to see you.”

He looked over at her smiling face and leaned over for a quick kiss.

“You are fucking amazing.”

She laughed and he pulled into his parents’ driveway.

He rushed around the car and with Honor’s hand in his, he walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell.

It took a second, but the door opened and his mother who was looking back at someone in the living room was laughing.
