Avery nodded, “I guess so. She says they change throughout the different flights and times, but she says she has worked with him a few times.”

Kynlee raised her eyebrow, “Well, he is delicious. You could eat him with a spoon. Or lick him. Please say you would lick him if you ever meet him?”

Avery laughed, “I won’t meet him, but I like the idea anyway.”

Kynlee sighed, “That’s too bad. I mean really.”

Avery nodded, “I know, I thought of that. I wish that I could meet him. But that’s not how life works. I already know that men like him are taken. They have women all over the world or are married. I mean look at him! He is so sexy and it’s not fair to the women of the world for someone to be that hot.”

Kynlee shook her head, “You would be surprised. Don’t be cynical yet Ave. We aren’t that old.”

Avery pursed her lips, “I know. I just don’t understand how I can be this upset about even the possibility of him being with someone else. It doesn’t even make sense. Like at all.”

Kynlee raised her eyebrows, “Girl, you know why you are upset? He is meant for you. I mean what else could it be?”

"I don't know what it could mean. Not really. I do know that I dreamed about him last night. Like a really intense, not what I have ever dreamed or will never dream again kind of dream."

Both of Kynlee's eyebrows went up, "Seriously? What happened?"

Avery told Kynlee about her dream and how close they had come to making love.

Kynlee waved a hand in front of her face, “Dang girl. That was hot!”

Avery nodded, “I know! I mean I don’t get it. We get guys in here all the time that are really good-looking, but I have never thought anything more of it as soon as they leave.”

“I know. I understand that. That’s what I mean though. You have never had that kind of reaction before.”

Avery thought about it and knew that Kynlee was right, that she had been right when she saw his picture for the first time.

Kynlee looked at her phone, “You know we have some time before the first client comes. We can do your hair pink if you want?”

Avery nodded, “I would love that!”

She pulled her hair out of the braids and mixed up the color she wanted.

Then she sat in the chair, and Kynlee pulled on some of the color gloves they had.

She quickly put Avery’s hair into sections and then started to color it.

Avery knew that since they weren’t putting her hair in foils or anything, it would go a lot faster, and within ten minutes, her hair was covered, and Kynlee sat back down, “So, what are we going to do about having you meet your pilot?”

Avery laughed, “I thought we let that go.”

Kynlee shook her head, “And not be able to live vicariously through you? No freaking way. I need you to see this through. You have to tell me what it’s like and if he has any hot pilot friends.”

Avery rolled her eyes, “It’s not going to happen Kyn. Like seriously, it won’t. We aren’t that lucky.”

Kynlee hummed but didn’t reply, and Avery looked over at her, “I’m serious.”

Kynlee raised one eyebrow, and Avery fought not to roll her eyes again. “You are hopeless. Fine. If, -and I mean that most lightly- I meet him, I will tell you all about it and see if he has any hot friends. But, if I don’t meet him, you have to try to find a guy all on your own and I will go with you as your like wing woman? Whatever they are called.”

Kynlee grinned, “Deal. Although, maybe you should still go with me anyway.”

Avery laughed, “Fine. But do we even know of any bars around here? And do you really want to find a guy in a bar? That one is a legitimate question.”

Kynlee’s smile faded, “I don’t know. I don’t think I would want that. Honestly.”

Avery reached her hand out, “We will find a way to meet your guy. Okay? I promise.”
