Kynlee smiled and then looked at her phone, “It’s time. Let’s get that color out. I want to see what it will look like!”
Avery walked over to one of the bowls and lay her head back, letting Kynlee wash the color out.
“Okay, so far it’s freaking beautiful. I’m loving it so much!”
Avery smiled, “Really? Oh, I want to see!”
Kynlee shook her head, “Not until it’s dry, and I style it.”
Avery pouted, and Kynlee laughed, “I promise it will be worth it.”
Kynlee dried Avery’s hair for the next half hour then pulled it into sections and curled it, and Avery wanted to look in the mirror so badly.
When Kynlee finished, she turned Avery in the chair, and Avery gasped when she looked in the mirror.
“Oh my gosh! That’s amazing! Holy cow! I love it so much!”
Kynlee grinned, “It looks so freaking good on you girl! I wish we did it sooner.”
Aria nodded, “Don’t worry. It will stay for a long time.”
She got out her phone, snapped a picture, and then sent it to her mom. Her phone rang two seconds later with a notification saying her mom wanted to video chat.
Avery opened it, laughing when her mom said, “Girl! You look like a goddess! What? Oh my gosh. The pink is a good look for you!”
Avery smiled, “Thanks, mom. Kynlee and I had some time this morning, so we both thought, ‘Why not?’ and here we are.”
Aynsley cupped her face in her hands, “I love it. It makes you look so different. Beautiful.”
Avery smiled wider, “Thanks, mom! When do you get back? This weekend?”
Aynsley nodded, “Yes. I have three flights today and three tomorrow, and then I’m home for four days.”
“Good. How was the flight last night? Good?”
Aynsley slowly smiled, “Oh it was great.”
Avery felt her brows draw together, “What does that mean?”
Aynsley shrugged, “Nothing. I just had a nice flight. That’s all.”
Avery knew she was skeptical, “Sure. Did you get to meet the pilot guy? Is he that cute up close?”
Aynsley nodded, “Oh yeah. He and his friend are both delicious.”
Kynlee jerked the phone out of Avery’s hand, “He has a friend?”
Aynsley laughed, “Two of them. I didn’t meet the other one, but he, Hudson and West fly together all the time.”
Kynlee looked over at Avery, “Um, it’s official. This girl needs to meet the guy, so thatIcan meet the guy.”
With another laugh, Aynsley said, “We shall see. They are pretty great guys.”
Avery bit her lip, and Kynlee sat with her on the chair, “Really? Like good guys?”
Aynsley nodded, “I mean it. They are good, hard-working men who have sacrificed a lot in life.”
Avery sighed, “What does that mean though?”
