Bo laughed again, “He is. He went into the Air Force when he was younger and flew fighter jets. Then, he moved to commercial flying and still does that to this day. My older brother was a SEAL and can fly jets and helicopters I believe. He is pretty awesome. And our little sister, well, she is the greatest. She has cerebral palsy and has overcome so much in her short life. I love her more than I can say. She was born when Jet and I were already pretty old, so we both spoil her like crazy, as do our parents. She is everything to us all.”

Avery’s face went soft, “Okay. That is officially the cutest thing I have ever heard.”

“I was with her before I came to see you. She has been struggling because a lot of kids tease her and she doesn’t have many friends.”

“Oh? That’s so horrible. Kids are the worst. She shouldn’t be teased because of the issues she was born with. That makes me so angry.”

Bo reached out and held her hand, “I feel the same. But Aria knows they are small-minded and she has the best friend anyone could ask for. Raegan is really protective of her and I know that she doesn’t let Aria get bullied on her watch.”

Avery let out a small breath, “Good. I really want to meet her. She sounds amazing.”

Bo grinned, “She is. Do you have any siblings?”

Avery snorted softly, “I’m not sure. I just know my father has a few boys with his wfie, and I don’t know any. I haven’t met them.”

Bo raised his eyebrows, “Wow. That was unexpected.”

She laughed lightly, “Yeah. My mother isn’t really a fan of men. I understood why and I have stayed away as well. Until you. She sent me your picture and it was like you said. A bolt of lightning hit me. I have never felt like that.”

Bo nodded, “Exactly.”

She looked down at her hand encased in his, “It’s still a little strange to be contemplating this. To even be here with you.”

He lifted her hand to his lips, kissing the skin there, “Your mom told me that she wasn’t sure if this was a good idea or not. I understand that your dad wasn’t exactly subtle with how he left after getting what he wanted and that it broke your mom’s heart. I hate that for you. I really do. It’s not fair that your mother tried to find her happily ever after and he was not that man. It made her run for the hills and wary of men. I’m not like him though. Most men aren’t. And I understand your hesitation. I will prove it to you as I did to your mother. I’m in this. I will not let you go. Not after I waited so long to find you. To meet you. To see that you are actually real and not just a figment of my imagination. You and I are meant to be love. There is no doubt in my mind.”

She studied him for a minute, just watching his face, and he sat there patiently while she did so, “How is it that you are so sure? We just met like two hours ago. People are going to think we are crazy.”

He laughed, “They can think we are crazy all they want. Or that this isn’t real, but to me, it is. I have never believed in love at first sight. That seems crazy, but just looking at a picture of you was enough for me. I knew you were mine. That I needed to get to you and here I am. I thought about you all night and it has never felt more right to me. I have never even looked twice at a woman. Though a lot have tried. And that just shows me that what we have is not just something that won’t last. It proves to me that we are more.”

She bit her lip, “You have zero hesitations. I have never heard of a man like you before.”

He laughed lightly again, “I’m one of a kind baby.”

“I’m starting to see that. So, women try huh? That I believe.”

He snorted, “They try. I shut it down every single time. I don’t have the patience for women like that. I don’t want it. I never have. I have worked too hard to get where I am in life to throw it away for a few hours of fun.”

“A few hours? Wow. That’s ambitious.”

He shook his head, “What we will do together will take more than a few hours.”

Her jaw dropped open slightly, and she shut her mouth again, “You cannot say things like that to me.”

He smirked at her, lifting her hand and kissing her palm this time, “Why not? It’s only the truth. Get used to it babe.”

She leaned forward to say something, and the waitress came over then, “Oh. Hey there Bo. Can I get your usual?”

Bo didn’t take his eyes from his girl. “Sure thing. And my fiancee wants to look at the menu, please.”

The woman went still, and Avery looked up at her, her eyes narrowing slightly when the waitress said, “Fiancee? Are you serious?”

Bo nodded, “I’m serious.”

The woman smiled, “Congratulations. We were wondering if you were ever going to settle down.”

Bo grinned, looking up at her finally, “Tell Bentley that I’m taken. You know he will ask.”

The woman chuckled, “He always asks. He doesn’t like his wife taking orders from unmarried guys. But, it’s my job.”
