She shook her head, and he chuckled, “I think I have a liar on my hands. I will be gentle. Don’t worry.”
She finally breathed when he moved away, and she took a few shaky breaths to get herself under control.
Bo kept his arm around her as Kynlee walked in and spotted them.
She rushed over to them, stopping in her tracks when West stood.
He walked over to her, “It’s you.”
She only nodded, and he picked her up, swinging her around gently, touching his lips to hers.
Kynlee wrapped her arms around West, and he pulled back, looking down at her.
“I saw her months ago. But I haven’t been able to find her. She was in a different city, and was a passenger on one of Lee’s planes. Not mine. I saw her in the airport and I thought she saw me, but she didn’t. I tried to convince Lee to give me the manifest, but I couldn’t and have been beating my head against a wall. I thought I lost her forever.”
Kynlee was still wrapped in his arms, “I saw you. I wasn’t sure how to find you either. I tried. But I wasn’t sure which airline you flew with and trust me, I looked.”
West grinned down at her, “I want to get out of here.”
Kynlee shook her head, “I’m hungry.”
West sat down with Kynlee in his lap, “I’m not letting you go now.”
Kynlee laughed, “I’m not going anywhere.”
Avery grinned at her best friend, and Bo whispered, “I guess that settles that. I never knew that West was just like me.”
Avery nodded, “Possessive?”
Bo growled slightly in her ear, “You bet your fucking ass.”
She bit her lip, and Angela came by, dropping off the food they had ordered while waiting for Kynlee.
Avery ate a few bites of her food, and Bo grabbed her hand that had her fork in it full of food and took a bite.
She smiled over at him, “You have your own, you know.”
He gave her a bite of his food, “I know. But it’s so much more fun to share.”
She kept eating, and every once in a while, she would lift her fork to him, and he would eat the bite she gave him.
It was so intimate, and she slowly moved closer to Bo, and he moved her chair closer to his, and then pretty soon, she was practically in his lap.
He put his fork down after a while, and she tried to pay attention to the quiet conversation West was having with Kynlee and Cord, but Bo was moving his nose up and down her neck, pressing soft kisses there every so often and making her barely contain her shivers as he did so.
She moved her head slightly to the side, wanting more of his mouth on her, when Cord stood, “Well, if this wasn’t the most awkward dinner of my life, I don’t know what was.”
She felt Bo lift his head, “This will be you one day.”
Cord shook his head, “No thanks. Girls aren’t worth it.”
“When you are ready West, I want to go home.”
West reached in his pocket and pulled out his keys, “Take my truck and tell mom I will be home later.”
Cord just nodded and then walked out, leaving them behind.
West stood, pulling Kynlee up behind him, “We are going for a walk.”
