Avery felt her eyes fill with heat, and she blinked back tears.
“I love that man.”
Jessica smiled over at her, and Aynsley took over holding pressure on Sean’s wound.
Will talked to someone in his headset, “We are clear for landing.”
They started to descend and Ashton woke then, his eyes groggy as he came to.
He tried pulling at his hands, “Let me go! Right now!”
Aynsley stood over him, “The only place you are going, is to jail.”
Ashton started swearing at her, and Aynsley turned away from him, “I don’t know what I ever saw in that guy.”
She visibly shuddered and Avery had to bite back a laugh.
The plane touched down on the runway soft as can be and slowed down, coming to a stop.
Will was out of the seat, going over to the door and opening it, and several men swarmed the plane, making Avery get out of the way as they did.
Bo was on board next, and Avery jumped up, running into his arms, burying her face in his neck as he picked her up.
His arms were tight around her and she lifted her head, kissing him. One of his hands came up, cupping her face, deepening the kiss.
He pulled away from her, “I’m getting you out of here.”
She nodded, and they walked out of the plane, stopping to talk to the cops on the ground, and having her wash the blood off her hands.
She watched as Ashton was led away in handcuffs, screaming profanities the entire way.
Then Sean was taken off the plane, his face white, but he was breathing, and Avery knew he would live.
Jessica, Aynsley, and Will came next, talking to the cops as well and she rushed over, hugging her mom and grandma.
Aynsley had washed the blood off her hands and she hugged her back.
“I love you. Go with Will. I know he will keep you safe and love you. You deserve it mom.”
Aynsley’s face went soft, “I know. I’m going to tell him. I love you sweetheart. I’m glad you found someone to love you. Bo is a good man.”
Avery looked over at him, “He is everything.”
Aynsley nodded, “He is.”
Then she was walking toward Will, and Avery watched as Will looked down at her mom, a smile slowly spreading across his face.
He pulled Aynsley into a hug and then dipped her, kissing her hard.
Arms wrapped around Avery’s middle and she put her head on Bo’s chest.
“Can we get out of here?”
She nodded, waving at Jessica, who was still talking to the cops.
Jessica waved back, mouthing to her that she would call her later.
She nodded, letting Bo lead her away.
