She started to protest, “We will get the bed all wet.”
He shook his head, “It’s okay. Let me get you a shirt to sleep in.”
She nodded, and he walked to his closet, pulling on some sweatpants and boxer briefs before getting out one of his t-shirts and bringing it to her.
“I had my housekeeper deliver groceries today. She came to clean, so I paid her extra to stock my fridge. Do you want something to eat now?”
She nodded, pulling the shirt over her head, and finger combing her hair.
They walked into his kitchen, and he went to the fridge, “I’m not the best cook, but I can make eggs.”
She smiled, “Eggs are perfect. With some toast?”
He nodded, then started cooking for her.
They sat down to eat, and they talked about everything and nothing as they ate.
He didn’t want to ask her about the plane. That would come later.
She ate everything on her plate, then got up, rinsed it, and put it in the dishwasher.
He helped her clean up the kitchen, then she walked into his living room, “You really need some kind of decorations.”
He laughed, “Be my guest baby. My house is your house.”
She turned to him, “Really?”
He nodded, “Really. I want to be with you. Every minute of the day. And while I know that real life is going to intrude soon, it won’t yet. Move in with me. I want to go to sleep with you in my arms and wake up the same way.”
Her eyes went wide, then she smiled, “Okay.”
He grinned, “Okay?”
She nodded, “Yes. I will move in with you.”
He laughed, “Good.”
She sobered, “Oh my gosh. I forgot my phone in the car when we were taken. Kynlee must be freaking out.”
He went to his room, getting his phone out, seeing that he had ten missed calls and thirty texts.
He had put his phone on silent when they were going after Avery and hadn’t turned it back on again. He called West and his friend answered with, “Do you have Avery? My girl has been freaking out all day.”
Bo nodded, “She is here. Sorry, there was a situation and my phone was on silent. I didn’t remember until now.”
Kynlee’s voice came on the other end, “Is Avery okay?”
Bo handed the phone to his girl, and Avery stepped away, “I’m okay. I swear.”
She talked to Kynlee for a few minutes, then she hung up.
“I’m exhausted.”
Bo led her back to his room, climbing on the bed beside her, pulling her into his arms.
“I love you.”
She sighed, “I love you too.”
