When they came up for air and were walking out of the church, she whispered, “I’m pregnant.”
He let out a yell, and lifted her, kissing her.
“I love you.”
Perfection. That’s what his life was.
EPILOGUE
HARPER
NINE MONTHS LATER.
Harper was walkingaround the house, knowing she was in labor, but not wanting to rush to the hospital yet.
This baby would come when it was ready. She had no idea what they were having, but Vincenzo did.
He wanted to be prepared, and she knew for the first time she wanted to be surprised.
She never got those, so this was fun for her.
Vincenzo found her in the family room sitting on the couch that she had a feeling this baby was conceived on.
“You are in pain.”
She shook her head, “I’m fine.”
His lips pursed, “You aren’t fine. You just grimaced.”
She laughed, “Fine. But I’m okay. This baby wants to come when it wants.”
He shook his head, “Should we go to the hospital?”
She finally nodded, and he pulled her to her feet, and she let out a gasp, and he lifted her into his arms, “Time to go.”
He rushed her to the hospital, and they checked in and were rushed to a room, where she was checked and a doctor was called, “This baby is coming now.”
Her eyes went wide and with three pushes, the baby was out.
A head full of black hair was the first thing she saw and then laughed when she saw it was a boy.
“He is so beautiful. What do you want to name him?”
Vincenzo smiled, “Vincenzo. Carry on the tradition.”
She smiled, “My Vinny boy. Oh, I love it.”
He grinned, and she kissed little Vin’s head and the doctors left, and someone knocked on their door.
“Come in,” Vincenzo called, and Lucia peeked around the door, “Are you ready for visitors?”
Harper nodded, “Come in.”
Everyone piled inside, starting with Jackie and Lucia, then Joey, Elio, Jenna, Gio, Elena, and Ryker.
Elio pulled Jenna to his side, kissing her and Harper smiled, knowing how fast their connection had been and Gio did the same with Elena.
Vincenzo hadn’t even blinked when Gio told him he loved Elena.
