And Harper loved it.
Ryker only shook his head, “I’m not moving to Italy mom.” He had said and Jackie laughed, “Don’t. I already lost two of my girls to Italy. No need for my son to move here too.”
Harper had only smiled and loved that she and Jenna got to have that connection in being sisters and sisters-in-law. Or soon to be.
Elio had popped the question, but he was only nineteen, and Jenna was eighteen, so they weren’t rushing it yet.
Elena was eighteen as well, and though Gio was his age, Vincenzo didn’t mind their small gap.
Had in fact given them his blessing.
Lucia reached out, “He looks like his father.”
Harper handed the baby to Lucia and Lucia took him, “His name is Vincenzo.”
Lucia smiled, “I like it.”
Jackie touched his hair, “He has so much hair.”
Harper nodded, “I didn’t realize he would be born with so much of it.”
Lucia nodded, “It happens with Salvatore babies.”
Harper loved it, so she didn’t mind.
She looked around the room as Lucia gave Jackie the baby.
The room was full of love and hope. She knew it was going to be even better with each day.
Vincenzo leaned down and kissed her, “My perfect cara mia.”
She smiled against his lips, “I love you.”
“I love you more.”
EPILOGUE
VINCENZO
FIFTEEN YEARS LATER.
“Harper? Are you home?”
He looked in her favorite room, finding her reading a book with their youngest in her lap.
They both looked up at him, their daughter a carbon copy of her mother.
She smiled, “Hi daddy.”
He leaned down and kissed her, “Hey there baby. How is my angel?”
Her face turned serious, “I had a long day at school.”
He bit his lip to keep from smiling, “Oh really?”
She nodded, “I had to write a lot of letters.”
Harper was shaking her head, a smile on her face.
