“Can I help?” Adam offered but Darren waved a hand. “Oh, sweetie, you already did plenty when you volunteered to hang topless in my front window.”
We laughed as Faith and Melody joined the project and started bossing poor Logan and Christian around too.
“Careful now.”
“Behind you.”
“Just a little bit higher. Yes, there you go.”
“No, now it’s leaning toward Christian’s side.”
“Nope, a little to the left.”
“Ready to go?” Adam asked and squeezed his arm protectively around me.
I turned around to face him, looking up into his warm obsidian-colored eyes with those thick lashes. “I want to see the painting from outside,” I said.
“Okay.”
We said our goodbyes again and walked outside to see Cia’s masterful painting exhibited front and center.
“Wow, such passion,” Adam murmured in my ear.
“Uh-huh, maybe we should go to my hotel and recreate that scene from the painting.”
“You have room for a limousine and a truck in your room?” Adam teased and leaned in to kiss me.
“I was thinking more about me sitting on your hips again.”
“Ah, yes, I like that part, although I might make a few adjustments to the scene.”
“Like what?”
“Like you and I being completely naked.” He grinned and took my hand leading me across the street toward the parking lot. I looked over my shoulder waving at the black car where Tony and Brian sat, following our every move.
“I got a ride,” I shouted. “Just follow us back to the hotel.”
Brian nodded, signaling that he had understood me.
“Come on, beautiful, my limo is waiting for you,” Adam joked and I grinned back at him, floating on a cloud of happiness.
“You truly need a new car, Adam. You know that, right?”
“I can’t get rid of it now.”
“Why not?”
He swung a hand to the old beat-up truck “The backseat holds sentimental value to me, It’s where my future wife told me she loved me for the first time.”
“Aww.” My heart was swirling alongside the butterflies in my body. “Come here,” I said and lifted my head to kiss him, placing my arms around his neck. “I love you so much, medicine man.”
“I’m glad to hear it,” he said and kissed me back. “Because I love you too… diva.”
