“Then my response remains the same, Master Storm.” He grabbed a nearby towel. “Get bent.” Raine hopped off the machine and headed towards the stair stepping machine in the corner. He’d barely managed start a program, when Raine’s patience finally snapped.
“Fuck this.” He crossed the room and grabbed Raine around the waist. After hauling him off the machine, Storm carried him over to the weight bench. Dropping down onto the leather seat, he jerked Raine across his thighs, then pressed his arm against the other man’s lower back, pinning him in place.
“Hey! Let me go!” Raine used his arms to push up off the bench.
“No.” Storm accented his denial with a firm swat to one cloth covered cheek, before pushing Raine back down.
“What the fuck!” Raine tried to break his hold. “You’re so not fucking spanking me!”
“Says the boy who’s draped over my knees.” He brought his hand down three more times, alternating between sides. “Keep it up and the underwear goes as well.”
“You have no right!” Raine protested, kicking his legs out this time.
“I have every right.” Storm sighed, then hooked one leg over the back of Raine’s. “Max explained everything to me. About how you’re a service sub only, how he swore to protect you. We got off on the wrong foot and I’m sorry about that.”
Raine stilled. “You are?”
“Yes.” He kneaded one tempting ass cheek. “I know now that you’ve been abused in the past, that you sometimes self-harm because of it. When I saw the blood, I assumed the worse. I should’ve approached you differently but, damnit Raine, I was worried. Max asked me to look after you until he’s back up on his feet. And I promised I would.”
“I…don’t know what to say to that.” Raine finally whispered.
“There’s nothing to say. Your life won’t change, other than the fact that now I’ll be the one that you come to when things get rough. Max wants to make sure you’re taken care of.”
Raine was silent for a long while, before finally nodding. “Fine. What Master says goes.”
“That easy?” Storm wasn’t sure how to take the boy’s ready acceptance.
“Sure, it’s that easy. Just let me up now, you’ve made your point.”
Storm gave a slow shake of his head. “No, I don’t think I have.” He gave Raine another swat. “I was warned about you, brat. Max says you submit beautifully once you’re taken in hand, but until then you’re an absolute terror.”
“Maybe I’ve changed.” Raine countered.
“I don’t believe that for a second. Just like I’m not buying this meek, submissive shit you’re trying to pull. I may not be your dominant, but Max is trusting me with you.”
“He seems to do that a lot.” There was a bitter note to Raine’s words.
“Trust him, Raine. He knows my skills as a dominant and would never just hand you over to any dominant who walks in the door.”
“Really?” Raine’s tone was sarcastic. “Do you know that while he was having a heart attack, he’d given me to another dominant to whip? That the fool was still wet enough behind the ears that he accidentally struck me with the flogger he was using?”
Storm stored the information away. He’d definitely be talking to Max about the boy’s accusation later. “Dominants sometimes share their submissives, particularly their service subs.”
“Duh!’
“That’s enough!” Storm accented his displeasure with several blows across Raine’s ass, punctuating each word with slaps. “You may not be happy about the situation, I may not be happy about it, but we’re going to come to an agreement. I am the dominant. I’m in charge. Understand?” By the time he’d finished speaking, silent sobs shook Raine’s slender form. As much as he longed to pull the boy up and into his embrace, he knew they had to come to an agreement, or the next six weeks would be pure hell as they struggled for power.
“Understand?” he repeated.
“Yes, Sir.” He sniffled. “When it comes to the club, you’re in charge.”
“When it comes to you, I’m in charge.” He corrected, his hand moving down to Raine’s sit spots and delivering five blows a piece.
“Fine! I get it!” Raine cried out. “When it comes to me, you’re in charge.”
“Good boy.” He pulled the now crying sub upright and into his arms. “I know you’re struggling. Let me take a little bit of the weight off you, Raine. I promise you won’t regret it.”
