“Don’t know, dude. Haven’t seen her,” Elijah answered with a bop on his shoulders.
“Is she trying to sin today and confessed tomorrow?” another one of my friends, Zeke, teased me.
“What about Aaron and Marceline?”
“Aaron went home early,” Zeke informed me. “His mom got sick, so he had to leave early. Oh, did you see those babes over there? Apparently they’re kind of famous withOnlyFans. Pay them $100 bucks, and they’ll show you their tits. $200 for their pussy—”
“$300 for them to strip naked in public and $400 for wanting for a good fuck,” Simon interrupted, hyped up by the girls’ wild occupation.
I wasn’t interested in what they’re talking about. Eva was missing, and she’s not here. She’s missing out on a big event I’m planning on showing her of what it means to be alive with purpose.
“Why the long face, dude? You should be happy! The hot bombshells are here,” Simon said, slinging his shoulder onto me as I still had the cup in my hand, ice melted on my whiskey, tasted so watery I couldn’t bear to drink another sip.
“What’s the occasion for, anyway?” Elijah inquired, leaning in to hear my answer.
Before I managed to give them an answer, Marceline intruded into the group. “Dude, I saw that chick you were looking for.”
“Who? Eva?” I said into her ear, music blasted louder I want to smash the speakers and the DJ set up into bits. “Is she the one with the nun outfit?”
“Yeah, I saw her, she—”
Soon, my parents had gotten back from work, finding the farm messy—and fast forward, my parents stormed into the unused barn, an unused barn my dad was planning to useto have horses and goats around. I overheard him speaking to someone on the phone regarding to purchase thirty horses and thirty goats or sheep, whichever it is.
“Get fuck out! All of you!” my dad commanded, after unplugging the booming speakers off.
Everyone stood in their place, flabbergasted.
“OUT!” he said, and everyone fled and gone back to their vehicles since it already struck at 2 A.M. in the morning.
Marceline peace out and absconded as soon as my parents got near me, especially when my mom is heading her way in a speed of light.
“Adrian, what the hell is the meaning of this!?” Dad scowled.
My fingers ran through my scalp. “I wanted to have a party.”
I mean, there’s no way I’m going to fucking lie to my dad. Ugh, this is such a pain in the ass. Just when I was about to surprise Eva with a gift, she disappears and this shit happens.
“Without our permission, Michael?” Mom chimed in, flouncing at me.
My shoulders bopped casually. “Who cares? You guys don’t even use this barn for God knows how long. I did ask permission, remember?”
My mom sighed, hands on hips. “This isn’t what the barn is used for, Michael. This barn is supposed to be your father’s business!”
“So what?”
“So what?” she repeated, in outrage. “He’s planning on buying twenty-five horses, for fuck’s sake!”
“No one used this barn for a while now!” I protested.
“Michael, you’re not a child anymore. Pull yourself together, and act like a fucking adult. You’re twenty-three, for God’s sake!”
“There’s nothing wrong with having fun once in a while,” I shot back.
“Nothing wrong until you’re trying to make my barn run like a whorehouse,” my dad shouted.
I was in no mood to have a screaming match with a man who loved his office and trophies more than worrying his own son, which he gave no fucks.
“Where the hell is Sister Eva?” Mom asked, searching for her. “Did she set this party up with you?”
