STRETCHING WALREN’S LIMITS
They didn’t endup finding Walren’s present.
Between stalking his omega to learn infant care, catching up with the neglected Nood’s Good tasks, and keeping tabs on Walren’s ex, Raptor wasdistracted.
But he wasn’t too distracted to realize that Walren was beingsneaky.
Like now.
The pretty omega shuffled quietly from one room to the next, carefully checking the walls and looking out of the windows. Before this, he had been stalking around the mansion’s exterior, looking at it from different angles and making notes on his phone.
Few people knew this, but Raptor could move silently when he wanted to.
He took slow, measured steps, following as Walren drifted back to the steel doors on the mansion’s second floor. Walren checked all around the sensor pad, then pushed the buttons on its keypadand ducked, as though he was expecting laser beams to pop out and shoot him.
Raptor’s omega was a smart cookie, he really was.
“What do I have to do to open it?” he mumbled to himself. “Say ‘Open sesame’?”
“I don’t like sesame seeds, so no. That won’t do it,” Raptor said.
Walrenjumped.“Ahhh! Wh-what’re you doing here?!”
“I could ask you the same thing.” Raptor grinned. “What areyoudoing here, Walry-babe?”
Walren, when he was pretending not to look guilty, wasadorable.“I, uh. I lost my... uh. I lost my way?”
Raptor cackled. “Let me help you find it, then. Is the right way between your cheeks?”
“Noooo. That is terrible!” Walren groaned.
Raptor slid his arm around Walren’s shoulder, turning him away from the steel door. “Here’s the right way.”
From the corner of his eye, he watched as Walren tried to look back at the door. “But that’s not—”
“So youweren’tactually lost?”
Walren scrunched up his face.
“You’re close, I’ll give you that,” Raptor said.
His omega snapped his gaze up. “I didn’t tell you what I was looking for!”
“Just a lucky guess, then.” Raptor smiled with all his teeth.
Walren eyed him suspiciously, saying nothing.
“Now, I have plans for you.”
“Plans?”
“Have you prepared for the consequences of opening that door?”
Walren opened and closed his mouth. Clearly not.
Raptor sighed. “Sweetheart. Walry-babe. When you make plans for world domination, you should also fantasize about the fruits of your labor.”
“World domination?! But I’m not—!”
