“How could you?” she whispered.

“Your Daddy would never try to get rid of you. He is madly in love with you. I don’t know how you can’t see that,” Trent informed her. “Now, I’m going to leave you with your Daddy. When you are done talking, I will give you your two cookies.”

Frankie didn’t turn around as Trent walked out of the kitchen, leaving Daddy with her. What was she going to say?

“Do you really believe that?” Daddy asked as he sat in front of her.

She shrugged, not looking at him. “No, but yes.”

“Frankie. Sweetheart,” he cooed, reaching over and grabbing her hand. “I would never leave you. You are everything to me. There is no one else in my life. You are it, and I’m more than happy with that. I don’t want anyone else.”

“I’m sorry,” she whispered.

“You’re okay,” he replied. “I’m not mad at you. I’m just a little sad that you would think I would give you up at any point. You are the love of my life.”

Tears pooled in her eyes at his words. He truly meant it.

“I’m sorry,” she whispered again.

“Sweetheart,” he replied, his voice full of care. “Everything is okay. I’m not mad at you. I was a little cryptic when I shouldn’t have been. Yes, we were talking about you, but how I could help you. How I could be there for you more and help in every aspect of your life. That is all we were talking about. If you want to go ask Finn, he won’t lie to you.”

“Wh-what?” she whispered.

“I have had Littles before of my own, but it’s been a while. I was worried I wouldn’t do something right or be there fully for you. I was talking to him to make sure that I was. We Doms sometimes have moments of insecurity and need to talk to other Doms to help out,” Daddy explained. “I know it seems like we Daddies have everything together, but sometimes we don’t. Sometimes we feel insecure about things, and that’s when we talk to people we trust who can help us through it. I was going to tell you after the meeting, but I can see that I should have before. I didn’t want you to worry, which is what I made you do.”

Now Frankie felt even worse than before. Why did she have to think the worst? Why couldn’t she have just been calm and let Daddy come to her when he was done?

“Come here. Daddy desperately needs a hug.” He scooted his chair back and held his arms open.

She quickly leaped out of her chair, almost falling flat on her face, and made her way toward him.

“Careful. I don’t want you hurting yourself. I’m not going anywhere,” he said as he held her close.

Frankie snuggled into him.

“I love you,” she whispered. “I really do love you.”

“And I love you, too.”

They sat in silence for several minutes, just enjoying each other's embrace.

“Frankie!” Dominic shouted from outside the kitchen. “Someone is here to see you.”

Her eyebrows pulled together. Who would want to see her? She didn’t talk to anyone outside of work, and no one else knew where she worked.

“Let’s go see who it is.” Daddy helped her off his lap.

Nerves ran through her as they walked out of the kitchen and toward the front door. She didn’t like this.

“He said he knew you from your old apartments and needed to give you something,” Dominic said.

Her steps slowed as she saw the tall figure standing at the entrance. It couldn’t be him, could it be? But the build and the way he was holding himself were exactly like the person who’d broken into her apartment and attacked her.

No.

“Hello there. Did you really think I’d forgotten about you?” He turned around and smiled at Frankie.

She stopped and took a step back, running into Daddy.
