“Are you kidding me? You own the tattoo shop you sent me to. You own this bike shop that you expect me to buy from. What other place of business belongs to you that you want me to visit?”

“A fucking funeral home,” Outlaw answered. “You interested in me sendin’ you there for business?”

As Outlaw stared at Knox, the other men chuckled.

“I’m going back inside,” Knox growled, spinning on his heel and walking back to the door that led to the showroom. He returned to the bike he’d wanted to buy.

It was big and beautiful, a real statement maker. It was the type of bike Knox deserved. The kind that would catch Roxanne’s attention.

Footfalls pounded on the metal staircase in the center of the shop. Knox looked toward the sound and saw Outlaw following Giant Chet to the second floor. Wanting to know where they were going, Knox followed. Although half the size of downstairs, this floor contained racks and shelves of gear—jackets, shirts, boots, helmets, gloves, amongst other items.

“I’ll be right back,” Chet said as Knox walked up to the counter where Outlaw stood.

“Do you always have to threaten me?” Knox asked, not knowing what else to say.

Outlaw glowered at him. “You always gotta be a assfuck?”

“It irks me to see men and women show you adulation.”

“That ain’t what the fuck irk you, Knox.Myass irk you.”

Knox flushed.

“Ain’t gotta deny it. I ain’t givin’ a fuck first of fuckin’ all. As long as Megan happy with me, my ass happy.”

“Really? Do you think she’ll be happy about Emily?”

Resting his elbows on the counter, Outlaw sidled a look to Knox. “Is Roxanne gonna be?”

Knox winced. “Touché.”

“If you thinkin’ to take me down and open your fuckin’ mouth to Megan, then you ain’t rememberin’ your woman.”

“Is it all about Megan? How would she take you down?”

“Yeah, it’s all ‘bout my woman. And, if she ever get pissed efuckinnuff to walk the fuck away, I ain’t gonna survive.”

“Then why the fuck are you doing this?”

Sighing, Outlaw straightened. “I still got a club to run.”

“This isn’t club business.”

“It is and it ain’t. Family and business overlappin’ in this fuckin’ case. In the end, that bitch deserve to die as much cuz of club shit as she do for fuckin’ with my boy and my Megan.”

“I don’t understand you.”

“Ain’t up to you to understand me.”

“It is when you buy Roxanne exorbitant gifts.”

“What fuckin’ exorbitant gift I got her?”

“Her Navigator. A purple one at that.”

Snapping his brows together, Outlaw stared at him, then shook his head. “I got a riddle for you.”

A riddle? From Outlaw? Knox would solve it before he finished explaining the entire thing.
