“Do you fuckin’ realize what that bitchdoin front of that motherfucker?”

“Christopher—”

“No, Megan, shut the fuck up, and listen. That bitch my enemy, your enemy, and our boy enemy. Enemies dealt with. Case fuckin’ closed. Ain’t you dealt with her fuckin’ ass when you beat that bitch black and fuckin’ blue? Why? Cuz you was fed the fuck up. Why the fuck you suddenly flippin’ the fuckin’ script and expectin’ my ass to look the other fuckin’ way. Johnnie better off with-fuckin-out Kendall. Her kids better off with her ass gone.”

“You think Emily is better?” Megan asked in outrage.

“Fuck, Medusa better than Kendall, Megan. Nurse Ratched. Fuck, Freddy fucking Kruger.Any-fuckin-body but motherfuckin’ Kendall.”

“Christopher, I will never trust Kendall again with my children or my confidences, but she’s part of our family and she has a terrible illness. As long as she’s alive, there’s hope that she’ll get better and do better. Dead—”

“Dead, we get fuckin’ peace. That bitch ain’t never gonna be better, Megan.”

She let out a small sob. Megan had to know he spoke the truth. Kendall had had so many chances and he was sick to fucking death that she took so much of their energy and time discussing her or trying to un-fucking-do the bullshit she’d done.

“Please, don’t kill her, Christopher. Please.”

“I’m not the motherfucker that’s gonna kill that bitch. She gonna kill her own ass.”

“Because of you.Youractions. Don’t do this. You’re not that unfeeling to drive someone to suicide.”

He released her and turned onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. This shit here was exactly the reason he hadn’t wanted Megan to know what he was up to.

“I should’ve known you were going to find a loophole to our agreement,” she said miserably.

Placing his hands behind his head, he glowered at the ceiling. Damn Johnnie for bringing Emily to the dinner. What the fuck was wrong with that motherfucker anyway? Him and Kendall wasn’t even fucking divorced yet. The assfuck should’ve known the women would be on his stupid ass over Emily.

“Loophole, huh? Is that what the fuck you callin’ it?” he grouched.

“I could also call it a betrayal,” she retorted. “You promised me you wouldn’t hurt Kendall. Your hatred of her is eating away at you. It’s almost a sickness. You’re better than this.”

At the sound of her hurt and disappointment, Christopher froze.

“Suppose Johnnie hadn’t brought Emily tonight? You would’ve gone ahead until Kendall found out.”

His heart began a frantic, uneven rhythm at her desolate tone. His worst fucking fears were coming true. He’d pushed his woman too far!

Turning on his side, he pulled her into the crook of his arm and pressed his forehead against hers. “Don’t hate me, Megan,” he whispered, closing his eyes.

The feel of her fingers combing through his hair made him look at her. “I could never hate you,” she whispered.

The tears shining in her eyes broke his heart and made him feel lower than a motherfucker.

“I’m very mad at you, but you explore and re-explore options. That’s why you’re such a good leader and a cunning adversary.” A tear leaked from her eye and he thumbed it away. “Kendall can’t come to any harm by your hand, at your command, or through your orchestrations and machinations to forceherhand to take her life. Is that clear?”

“Yeah, baby,” he said on a sigh. “What the fuck my ass suppose to do about Emily?”

“Have Riley pay her off. He had to have paid her when he found her.”

“Riley ain’t found her, baby. Kendall tracked Emily down. I just gave Knox the fuckin’ info I overheard and he contacted her for me.”

“Knox is involved too?” Megan gasped. “No! You’re joking.”

“Nope. This shit was top secret.” He explained his reasons why to her.

“I understand your point but, if Roxy finds out, she’ll never forgive Knox…I-I mean d-did he know what you intended?”

“Yeah. He can’t stand Kendall neither. His reason more fucked up, though. He hatin’ on her cuz she took Johnnie side over his when he came in to fuck over us.”
