Christian nodded.

Harmony sighed. “But, I’m not sure about being in college now.”

Christian grinned. “Baby, I don’t care if you go to college.”

“But I don’t want to sit around all day. I can’t. It would drive me crazy.”

“I don’t care what you do as long as you’re happy.”

“I was thinking about getting a job.”

Christian’s smile fell. His mind raced as he tried to think of how he’d manage to protect her. He couldn’t have the guys stand around at her job. He also knew deep down he wanted herat their home, where she was safe.

“I think you should take some time to think about it. You know you never have to work, right?”

Harmony shook her head. “I know, but I don’t like the idea of living off of you. It makes me feel like a parasite.”

“Jesus, woman, it’s my dream to take care of you. I want to be your whole world.”

“You already are, Daddy,” she exclaimed. “But that doesn’t mean you have to pay for everything.”

“Oh, Baby. I have so much money, we wouldn’t be able to spend it in ten lifetimes. You don’t ever have to worry about it, not ever. You love cooking, gardening, and fixing up the house. Could that be enough to keep you busy for now?”

“Yes, I suppose.”

Christian grinned. “Don’t forget your visits to Agnes and taking care of me.”

Harmony snorted. “That in itself is enough. You work too hard.”

Christian pressed a kiss to her forehead. “I’m cutting down. I find I love spending more time with you than all my people combined.”

Harmony giggled and raised her hands to circle the back of his neck.

“That’s always nice for a woman to hear.”

Christian bent and fused his lips against hers. He groaned when she immediately opened for his tongue, giving him back every caress. Every cell in his body warmed, and he felt the blood rush to his groin. The primal need to mate with her soared. He wanted to imprint himself on her flesh so she wouldn’t go an hour without thinking about him as he did her. After a long moment, he lifted his head. He knew if he didn’t stop, he’d have her on the bed.

“You are so beautiful,” he said as he bit back a moan andsmoothed her hair away from her face.

“Thank you. I’m glad you think so.”

Christian grinned. “How about you go get ready, and I’ll take you out?”

Harmony smiled up at him. “I’d much rather you take me to bed, Daddy,” she murmured in a sultry tone.

Christian’s hunger spiked as he lifted her easily and walked through the house. Within a minute, the master bedroom door closed behind them. Christian laid her on the bed.

“I’m going to have to feed you eventually,” Christian surmised as he jerked off his suit jacket and tie.

Harmony smiled as her eyes roamed over the skin he was revealing.

“You can always make me a PB&J.”

Christian grimaced. He’d grown up on peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches and never thought he could stomach another one, but his woman craved them some days, so now there was the stuff in his cupboards and fridge.

“We’ll see. Right now, the last thing I want to think about is eating unless it’s you I get to taste.”

Harmony sat up and tugged off her shirt and bra.
