Archer looked at Teddy, and she grinned back at him.
Jacey rolled her eyes. “Oh, go ahead. No cameras in here. Saralynn, put your phone down.”
He pulled Teddy to her feet and then into his arms and kissed her. Any awkwardness he felt having the audience of two disappeared when Teddy’s arms slid around his neck, and she swayed into him, narrowing the world to just this. Just her. His angel with or without wings.

She played one season of roller hockey when she was fifteen--it hurt enough that she decided she liked it better as a spectator--and it's been true love ever since!
