“Oh, Bren,” Ally smiles dreamily. “It’s going to be perfect, and you’ll be able to supply all the spa products from the factory too. I can’t wait to see what else you do with this.”

“Yeah,” Bren sighs, wrapping her arm around Ally’s as they gaze at the old building, and I can see their brains whirling. “Although, until you mentioned it, I never thought to do baskets of our products. I’m an idiot. Good catch, Ally. I mean, it’s what we do for our clients.” Bren sniggers at herself as if she can’t believe she hadn’t thought of it.

Ally grins, resting her head against Bren’s, saying, “You have half a dozen businesses, a baby, a husband, a new project, and my wedding. It’s okay to not think of everything, you know. It’s why you have us. Thank you for taking on our wedding and organising it.”

“I offered,” Bren reminds her. “It’s not a hardship, it’s a win-win for the both of us.”

I catch Alec’s eye over our girls’ heads and smile. I’m glad our two Old Ladies got on; I’d have hated it if they didn’t.

I didn’t want to break up their little huddle, but tonight was Ally’s hen do and my stag party. Although I’m not sure why the girls had decided to call it that. We weren’t doing anything different tonight than what we did at least once a month with the same bunch of people.

We’d go for something to eat and then go to one of the O’Shea nightclubs. Ally had arranged for the VIP section to be held for us.

I wasn’t going to argue, though; I’d rather be with her than have her and the girls go off on their own.

“You ladies about done?” I question. “We need to get going if we’re going out tonight.”

Their heads snap around as they look at me with wide eyes, “Oh shit,” Ally gasps. “I completely forgot about tonight.” Her face falls, “It’s too late to go for a ride, isn’t it?”

“Yeah, baby, it is, but I’ll take you tomorrow,” I promise her and am immediately rewarded with a beaming smile. I love that she enjoys riding. I’d offered to teach her, but she said she’d rather ride behind me than on her own, and as I loved having her wrapped around me, I wasn’t going to complain.

Alec and Bren share a look. “I tell you what. If you girls don’t get too carried away tonight getting hammered, we’ll all go for a ride tomorrow. My mum and Abby have Lexi until tomorrow evening. We can speak to the others and see what they think.”

Ally beams at Alec, “That sounds like a plan.” She frowns, “Aren’t you guys drinking tonight?”

Shaking my head, I reply, “Nah, baby, you know me; I don’t drink much, and the guys and I are looking out for you girls so you can have a good time.”

“But it’s your stag do?” Ally frowns worriedly at me, as if she’s concerned that I won’t have a good time. Chuckling, I wrap my hand around her wrist and tug her towards me, “Baby, I don’t need to get drunk to have a good time. Trust me, I’ll have a good time with you tonight.”

“Okay,” Ally answers, still looking uncertain.

“Relax, Ally, he’ll have a few drinks,” Alec reassures her. “I’m the designated driver tonight. We’re taking the minibus, so we’ll all be together.”

The minibus was something the MC had bought when Beau had turned eighteen and passed his driving test. It was an easy way to ferry us all around. Now it mostly gets used by one of the mothers when they ferry the younger kids around as a group. Alec had suggested it for tonight and had volunteered as the designated driver, although I have a feeling Beau would be happy to take that position if Alec decides to let loose. We’ll see. None of us are big drinkers, and tonight I want Ally to relax and have a good time.

We’re having our party early because it fits around everyone’s diaries now rather than closer to the wedding when we’ll have family and friends arriving from around the world.

Cash, Lizzie, and my younger siblings were the first to let us know they’d be coming. Lizzie’s beyond excited and has been calling weekly to get updates. I like my father’s wife; she’s hilarious and reminds me a bit of Molly. I know she’d like it if I spoke to Cash more, but she’s never pushed either of us. It may be time, though. When Ally and I start having kids, we’ll have to explain the complicated relationships eventually, but like Ally has said, kids can never have too many grandparents, and ours will be lucky enough to have several sets.

I’ll think about it. But not tonight. Tonight, we’re going to have fun, and I get to watch Ally let loose with her girls. A tipsy Ally is hilarious.

Five hours later, I’m laughing with the rest of my brothers as we watch the girls on the dance floor getting their groove on. Although the girls are pretty tanked, so I’m not sure what they’re doing can be considered dancing by any means. We’re all clutching beers, but I don’t think any of us has had more than one. I’d been right; Beau was on water. He’d told Alec early on to drink—he’d take over as the designated driver for the night.

“Oh, shit, guys,” Booker calls out. And the tone of his voice has us sobering. We’ve been watching a group of guys since we arrived, but as we’ve been upstairs, we mostly ignored them. They’ve been steadily getting drunker as the night wears on, and I know from the looks of them they’re going to be trouble. You can tell from the arrogant way they behave and how they’re dressed that they have money. That they think they’re entitled to their bad behaviour was clear from the start.

Liam had come down and had a word with them earlier, and they’d settled down some, but it seems that warning has been forgotten. They edge up to our girls, and my blood heats as they surround them. Our girls, except for Jeanie, all wore their property cuts, which are usually enough of a deterrent to those who know us. They are also more than capable of handling themselves, especially Carly, but they’ve been drinking and know we’ve been watching out for them, so they’ve not been as aware as they usually would be and are oblivious of the fucknuts that surround them.

“Oh, he did not just touch what’s mine,” I growl, slamming my beer down on the table and storming down the stairs to get rid of the arsehole who put his hand on Ally’s arse and squeezed it. Behind me, I hear boots clattering down the stairs, and I know the brotherhood is behind me.

By the time we get to the girls, they’ve formed a tight circle back-to-back, and I see a glint in the darkness. It looks like at least one of the girls has come prepared.

Ally is speaking to the one who had touched her. Her face is flushed with anger. I know my girl; she’s even-keeled and not a lot pisses her off, but when something does, she’s hell on wheels. Next to her, Jeanie is in a defensive position, fists balled. Ally catches my eye over his head, her face relaxes, and she smiles. She says something to the idiot, who looks over his shoulder andsneers at me and has to open his big mouth, “Fuck off, mate. This lot are ours.”

Snorting out a laugh, I look at him in disbelief. Reaching out, I curl my fist into his shirt, lifting as I pull him towards me, “I don’t think so, fuckhead. First of all, they’re wearing property cuts stating who they belong to.

“Secondly, the one whose arse you decided to touch without permission is wearing my ring. The rest are my sisters and belong to my brothers, so no, they aren’t yours.” His eyes widen, and they dart around, looking for the rest of his crowd. He finds them being frog-marched out the door by Liam, Booker, Brice, and a few of the bouncers. Jerking him towards me again, I tell him, “Apologize to my girl, and I’ll let you go, but we’ll be watching. And you are banned from this club.”

“You can’t ban me. Only the owner can,” he snarls at me, grabbing hold of my wrist.
