Chapter 24
IPACE UP AND DOWNwhile my blood boils. It’s impossible to know how much time has passed since Alessandro left me in here, but I don’t know when or if he’s even coming back.
He shouldn’t be keeping me in here. It’s a completely windowless room that I can’t get out of. There’s nothing I can do.
My gaze falls on all the sex toys.
Well, nothing I want to do.
Maybe I should use one of the ropes and strangle Alessandro when he shows up. Would that be a problem for my family or not?
Alessandro has no heirs. Since I’m his wife, everything he has would go to me.
But mybrilliantplan quickly flies out of my mind. It’s just a dream.
Overpowering Alessandro seems impossible. He’s too strong. Too agile. And he’s been trained to fight while I have zero experience with something like that.
Maybe it’s worth a try anyway.
Maybe I can surprise him. What is he going to do to me that he hasn’t already done? He can’t kill me. At least I don’t think my family would be happy about it.
I look around the room.
Pissing Alessandro off doesn’t sound like a good idea, especially when my gaze lands on that damn cage.
This room is already enough of a prison. I don’t want him to squeeze me inside that tiny thing as if I were a dog.
But then what am I going to do?
The door clicks, bringing my attention to it. If someone other than Alessandro shows up, maybe I can ask them to let me out.
Alessandro enters the room with a big duffel bag in his hand.
“Let me out of here!” I start toward him and the door, but he closes it and locks it before I can reach him. “I’m your wife. You can’t keep me trapped here. I’m not your prisoner. I demand to speak with my mom.”
