"Peppermint?" She asks, after taking a sip of her hot chocolate.

"That's your favorite, right?"

"Yes. I'm surprised you remember." She daintily licks her lips and takes another sip.

"I remember everything, Starshine. Even if I tried, I couldn't forget one moment of my time with you. Those moments were what got me through deployments, and even the months after my parents died."

"I didn't know about their deaths. I would have come back for the funeral, if I had. They were always so nice to me." She says, setting her hot chocolate down.

I put mine down too and pull her into me.

"I wasn't in a good place, so it's best that you didn't. This is right; this is our time. I feel it in my gut. Now, let's get upstairs and make you forget, because I do believe we have a wedding tomorrow."

Chapter 8

Kaitlyn

My eyes pop open just seconds, before an orgasm crashes over me. I don't get a chance to even say a word, before I'm screaming Gray's name.

"Good morning, Starshine." He says, licking his lips.

"Fuck, what a way to wake up," I say, as he climbs up my body.

"I couldn't resist. When the sheet slipped, you moaned my name in your sleep, and I wanted to taste you again." He says, giving me shivers, as he kisses his way up to my neck.

"I won't ever complain about being woken up by an orgasm."

"Noted." He says, laying down behind me and running his hands up my side and back down to my leg, before pulling my leg over his hips and slowly sliding into me. We both moan with pleasure.

He knows just where to touch me and how to tease me, before we both go sliding into our orgasms.

We lay in bed a few more minutes, enjoying being in each other’s arms, before getting ready for the wedding. Even though I’ll finish getting dressed at the church, I take a shower and wash my hair.

Gray steps into the shower behind me, and I lean back against him, just enjoying feeling him behind me. Without a word, he turns me and starts washing my hair. His fingers running through my hair relaxes away the last of the nerves and stress left over from the last week.

As we get out of the shower and dry off, he just watches me. His face softens, before he finally says, "I really like having you here."

"I like being here," I admit.

Our eyes stay locked for a moment, saying all the things we don't dare say out loud. This is more than a vacation fling, and we both know it, but I don't think either of us has any idea how to make it work. But we don't want to voice that either, because the moment we do, we pop this perfect bubble we’re in.

I don't do my makeup, but I take the time to dry my hair and put a little curl in it. Gray just watches my every move, while he drinks his coffee and checks his emails.

"Okay, let's get you to the church," he says.

"You know, you don't have to go with me," I say, because the bridal party is getting there hours, before the guests.

"I talked with Alex, and he's going to let me hang out with them and do some work." He holds up his laptop case.

I grab my dress, and my bag with all the stuff Dana needs, plus, makeup and hair stuff. Gray comes up and takes the bag from me, and then helps me out to his truck. The whole way to the church, he holds my hand and lets me go over everything that has to get done, before Dana can walk down the aisle.

When we get to the church, he walks me to the bridal suite, and then leans down to give me a kiss.

"I can't wait to see you in your bridesmaid dress." Then, he whispers in my ear, "And I can't wait to see you out of it later tonight."

That makes me smile, and I pull him in for another kiss.

"Save all your dances for me, Starshine."
