“Bosse, I said I’m ready,” she whined, pushing her hips up to him.
“Now you are.” Sliding away from her breasts, he used his knee to widen her legs and pushed inside her an inch.
She picked her legs up and hooked them over his back, wanting all of him.
He muttered, “I can’t hold back any longer,” then pushed all the way in, not moving. Was he worried about doing too much?
Impossible.
She had no words for the relief of feeling him deep inside her. Raking her nails over his shoulders, she stopped and clutched his firm muscles. “I’m not fragile. I don’t want slow and easy. I want all you have to give me.”
That snapped whatever mental dam was holding him back. He withdrew and pushed inside her again and again, giving her muscles time to accept him.
She squeezed her muscles, gripping his hard-on—a message to let go.
His hips pumped faster, pounding into her. She dug her nails in harder, her heart beating in her ears. Energy swirled faster, twisting tighter and tighter until she didn’t know up from down.
He reached between their bodies, his fingers stroking her once, twice, and flinging her off that cliff again.
He fell right behind her. He hammered harder, grinding her name out between his tight jaws. With one hard push, his body went rigid. “Alifair. Alifair.Alifairrrr!”
As she tumbled through a haze of aftershocks, he slid in and out slowly as he lowered her boneless body gently to the ground.
She could hear his voice but not understand his words, only the sound of his love. Her mind quieted, hearing the forest murmurs carried on a faint wind.
She thought she knew magic.
What they had together could not be conjured by false methods.
Rolling up against him, she snuggled in his warmth. She loved being close to him for as long as possible.
He’d said that crossing this line together would change everything for them.
She agreed. Now she had to find a way to keep him safe and outwit the fates trying to dictate the end of her life before she was ready.
