That had come from a woman. Had it been Alifair?
He’d stayed in human form in case he had to talk to someone but wondered if he’d get to her more quickly if Titan took the body.
Titan said,Krol captured two women to trade. If he captures our mate, he may not harm her if he can trade her.
Leave it to his wolf to keep Bosse from losing his mind. Not yet. Not so long as there was a chance of getting Alifair back.Thank you, Titan.
Sadly, he’d been wrong about tracking Alifair. She must have hidden her scent with the spell she claimed would make her invisible.
If it worked.
He felt bad questioning his mate’s ability, but she had admitted her magic came and went sometimes. He truly hoped that the lack of scent meant her spell held up and protected her.
She also had that orange thing Adrian said would call him and Justin when they found Krol and the women. Bosse should have thought about triggering the device last night, but at this point, he still had not seen a wagon.
He and Alifair were on their own.

Wheeling around fastto face Magdelina, Krol snarled, “Shut up, or I’ll have my Lammogo stick its claws into you again.”
That silenced the bitch.
No one was here yet. That mage would have made a grand entrance.
Standing in the shadow of what had been a doorway of a building attached to the crumbling castle, he kept watch, anxious for this meeting.
Krol snickered at how stupid everyone else was compared to him.
He’d told the only wilkotauk still present to remain in hiding unless a threat appeared or if he called them in, making it clear he expected the other one to be nearby.
But he did not want anyone killed, just delivered to him.
