Michael stood outside of TheSkulls compound waiting for someone to come and see him.Daniel hadphoned ahead and arranged for a meeting. No one would open the gateto let him inside. He saw the car from the picture Danielhad shown him somehours ago. What the fuck would he do if his woman and a Skull werekilled?

The door to the clubhouseopened, andTiny made his way toward the gate, followed by Lash, Nash, andZero. The men took their time looking ready to do murder.Michaelalso spotted the weapons in their hands. They were not going tomess around.

He hated this world, and the sooner he gotrid of everything the better it would be.

“What the fuck are youdoing here?”Tiny asked.

“We’ve got problems, and I needto talk to you.”

“I know what problems yougot.I warned you if any women went missing from my town then I’dcome to you.I’ve got everything I need to get rid of you, youpiece of shit.”Tiny slammed his palm over a button, sliding thegate open.

Within seconds he was trapped againstTiny’s body with a gun poised at his temple.Daniel along withanother guard climbed out of the car aiming a gun at Tiny.Lash,Nash, and Zero had their pieces pointed at his men. This meetingwas turning into a fucking catastrophe.

“Three girls.Three fuckingteenage girls have gone missing from my town. One blonde, one abrunette, andthe other a fucking redhead. You want to tell it’s a coincidence?”Tiny’s voice was raised. From the sound of it, Tiny was ready toend him.Michael gritted his teeth fighting against thefear.

“I haven’t taken them,” Michaelsaid.“This is not about me or the fucking girls.Killer and Kelseyare in danger.”

He squeezed the words out through thetight grip around his throat.

“Boss, I think he’s tellingthe truth,” Nash said.

Tiny tightened his hold thenthrew him to the ground. The barrel of the gunwas still trained on him.“Youbetter start fucking talking, or tonight will see the end ofyou.”

Holding his hands up, Michaelexplained everything. For the first time since finding out hisheritage he told Tiny all, including his disgust and what he’d been tryingto do to get the girls taken elsewhere.Michael couldn’t save themall, but he tried.

By the time he was finished the menwere on their cell phones trying to get in touch withKiller.

The other Skull wasn’t answering hisphone, and if Michael was right, his enemy was already there totake Kelsey. He’d failed her.

ChapterFifteen

Killer debated putting his cellphone on to charge up.The phone was completelydead, andhe’d forgotten to charge it up last night.Deciding against it, heheaded downstairs to find Kelsey standing at the stove cookingbreakfast. She wore a lovely blue summer dress only this time she’dleft the cardigan in the wardrobe. It was a hot summer, and wearingany clothes was a chore.

Throwing the phone onto the table hewent to make himself a coffee.

“Have they called?”she asked, turning toward him.Last night had been one of the best nights ofhis life. He’d never had so much fun before.Kelsey was soresponsive to his touch. Her adventurous side matched hisown.

“No, I’m going to leave it today.I don’t want to be interrupted.”He poured them both a coffeewatching her flip some bacon in a frying pan.Killer never thoughthe’d love the domestic feel to his life.Kelsey made him want stuffhe never thought he did.

“What are you thinking?”she asked, pressing a finger to his frowning brows.Taking herhand, he kissed her palm before moving back to thetable.

“Nothing much.I just enjoybeing here with you. It’s fun.”

She nodded, serving up their breakfast.“Is it wise to leave the phone dead? What if they want to get intouch with you?”They’d both agreed to not have a landline in casesomeone recognized their voice.Whizz had been the one to warn himabout sound recognition.

“Yeah, you’re right,” hesaid, picking the phone up.“I’ll eat this and then go and put iton charge.”

He pocketed the phone and smiled ather.

There was a healthy glow to her cheeks.Last night had brought them closer, if that was at allpossible.

“You’re going to make meblush if you keep looking at me like that.”

“I can’t help it.You knowwhat I’m thinking about?”he asked, grabbing her hand.
