To our beta.
“Yes,” I growled my agreement with the beast inside me and gave over to my climax, my mates gladly following me into euphoria.
Chapter 35
Jaxon
Patrick tucked his dick away inside his slacks, watching as I pulled out of our female’s tight pussy. “Turn around. Let me see you,” he told her.
Prim sighed and did as told, putty in his hands as he grasped her hips and lifted her ass into the air. He sank to his knees, and her sweet scent filled my nose as Patrick leaned forward to lick her clean. The musky tingling of my cum mixed with her tang of release made me crave his, but Prim had swallowed every drop he’d nutted into her mouth.
Grinning like a goddamn fool, I clasped my hands behind my head and leaned against the headboard, wondering at the lack of sting from last night’s belt lashings on my backside while my alpha tongued deep into her, his desperation for more almost laughable. The mighty Doctor Macaire, needy as a kid in a candy store, always driven to get exactly what he wanted. “Does my spunk taste good, Doc?”
He shot me a glare over her ass, his tongue working to make her squeaky clean.
“Kind of cool seeing you on your knees, desperate for my nut.”
“Go to hell, kid.” He stood, his lips glistening, his gaze hard. “Or keep up the arrogant attitude and pay for it later.”
My grin widened as my dragon groaned at the dark thoughts flooding Patrick’s mind. “In that case, I hope my cum lingers on your tongue all damn day and you jerk off in that office of yours while thinking about sucking my dick.”
Patrick’s gaze narrowed, need unfurling in my stomach, but he turned to Prim, who lay sprawled along the foot of his—our—bed. He didn’t argue with the thought in my head, thank fuck. “Jaxon is going to work later this morning, but we’ll be back,” he promised Prim. “Do not underanycircumstances come to Lockwood. Understand?”
“Yes, my alpha.” Prim’s smile dazzled him, and he clenched his jaw and turned away before acting on the lust once more tingling through his balls.
Fuck, I wished he had stayed. Let me get a mouthful of his cum, too.
He swore before slamming our bedroom door behind him, making my grin widen.
Prim curled up against my side, content and happy, and we listened as Patrick went down the stairs and eventually let himself out the garage door—taking his energy and the purr of his satisfied dragon along with him.
Smiling, I closed my eyes, unbothered by the lack of his busy thoughts that tended to jumble in mine. I could sense the hint of peace he’d found, the acceptance gained by giving in to his beast and mates countless times throughout the early morning hours.
“He’s still worried.”
My eyelids popped open, and my smile faded. While I’d sensed a hint of unrest in Patrick, it hadn’t compared to the negative energy I’d felt radiating off him before we’d bonded. Seemed a minuscule thing after the emotion our mating had infused through us.
“And that worriesyou.” No use in asking what I could feel radiating off Primrose. I trailed my fingertips down her arm, hoping to inject her with my passivity toward the situation since I felt sure Doc would become as addicted to us as we were to him.
“Yes, it does, and I think you should be a little more concerned.” She sat up, causing my hand to fall away from her, legs crossing beneath her. “Patrick has shown his ability to master his dragon, going so far as to completely shut him out.”
“But we’re bonded. Completely, and there’s no reversing that. Right?”
Prim chewed her lower lip, her gaze flitting to the window and the overcast sky beyond as though inwardly searching for the connection between us that our alpha had created. “From what I’ve read, there should benodoubt or lingering questions once the bonding has occurred.”
I shrugged, even though her words kicked up anxiety in my guts. “There’s nothing else we can do, Prim. We’ll show him our devotion, our submission—since that’s what he seems to crave—and he’ll eventually accept our fate for what it is. Come here.” I tugged her arm, pulling her soft body across mine, relaxing once more as her soft curves fit against me.
“I’m not going to let anything ruin what we have worked hard for, Prim,” I whispered against her hair, my brow furrowed at the resolve inside me to do just that. “I’ll rip this fucking earth to shreds to keep us together, to make you happy. He might be driven to prove himself sane, but that beast inside him is as stubborn and as desperate for us as we are for it. It’s going to be okay. I promise.”
Her sweet sigh should have erased every doubt, like I’d intended for my words to do, but that underlying bullshit refused to dissolve, making me fear for our future.
Chapter 36
Primrose
Itook a long, hot shower after Jaxon caught the bus for work, hating how incomplete I felt inside. Both of my mates had gone far enough away their thoughts and beasts no longer communicated with me. Heaviness settled in my mind as I slipped one of Patrick’s dress shirts over my nakedness. Even though my inner dragon purred with contentment at his scent surrounding us, I didn’t know how to deal with my unrest, the sudden silence after hours of constant communication with the two who owned me, heart, body, and soul.
The stillness, the absence of noise in my head and ears, reminded me too much of the early days after my grandmother’s death. She’d left me alone, and it had been years before I’d come to accept the loneliness that had attempted to crush my mind.
