I grinned and kissed her ear. “How many more you got? Because I’m just getting started…”

When her pussy clenched, I smiled, feeling my dick growing thick again.Yeah, this was about to be a long night.

The next afternoonmy mind was still on Baylyn. Even now, as I leaned against the wall in the elevator heading to see a family friend, my phone was in hand, thumbs lazily composing a text.

Me: What you miss more, me or my dick?

Baylyn: Neither.

Me: Stubborn as hell. I like that.

Baylyn: Then you’ll love this. I’m busy.

Me: I figured. That’s why I was thinking of sending you lunch.

Me: You need to reup on the energy you used last night and this morning.

Baylyn: Emir…

Me: Baylyn…

Baylyn: Goodbye.

Me: See you later, beautiful. Lunch is on the way.

I placed an order for Rockin’ Ramen through the Munchies app then slid my phone into my pocket just as the elevator doors glided open.

The penthouse floor was the last stop, and when I reached the door, I barely had to knock before it swung open. Carter stood on the other side. His ass was always the same. Calm, collected and deadly, but there was something different about him now. A new layer…

I stepped inside and immediately sensed the change. The vibe at his place was different. Lighter. Toys were scattered across the floor near a massive sofa and the sound of a kid’s cartoon was playing on the TV. Right in the middle, two kids existed in their own little worlds because he created this for them. One tiny little body covered in pink with a big ass puff of hair on the top of her head and the other kid was a little bigger, rocking wild curls, dressed in joggers and a tee that mirrored his father. Both kids had Carter’s features stamped across their faces.

I shook my head and grinned. “Damn, your life really changed.”

Carter followed my line of sight to his kids Asier and A’kenna and his chest swelled with pride.

“Yeah, but in the best damn way.”

The second his son spotted me, his little face lit up. Asier jumped up, abandoning whatever toy he’d been playing with, and ran straight to me.

I crouched and met his high-five with my palm. “What’s up, little man?”

“I’m being a good big brother.”

I raised a brow, glancing at his sister, who was still sitting on the floor, focused on whatever was in her tiny hands. “Yeah? You keeping an eye on her?”

He puffed out his little chest. “Yep. Daddy says I gotta keep her safe.”

“Smart man.” I brushed a hand over his head then glanced at Carter. “I can see why you’ve been staying busy.”

“You have no idea.”

I motioned toward his sister. “Alright, little man. Keep watch while I talk to your pops.”

He smiled big as hell, like I just gave him an official mission, and ran back to his sister. Carter led the way to his office. When we stepped inside, he closed the door behind us and I grinned. “Fatherhood looks good on you, man.”

Carter glanced toward the door, his usual mask slipping just enough for me to catch the truth. He loved this shit.

“It’s different,” he admitted. “But it’s solid.”
