CHAPTER SIXTEEN

A REPUTATION IS BORN

“You will not train with Titus tonight,” Ara said to me the moment my eyes opened.

I turned and looked at him. “Father?” Titus and I had been training every night for the past month. After the night my three brothers had punished me, I had ceased holding back and accepted my place among them completely. In doing so, Titus began to teach me other ways to use my vampire and dragon powers.

I think he did so because he was no longer worried I would use them against him to hurt or kill him. Last night, he had trained me on using my fire, all the while avoiding it. By the end of our training, Titus had told me how proud he was of me, and I found I was equally proud of myself.

I knew he reported back to our Father about my progress and perhaps Ara felt I was ready for more responsibility. I had been working hard for this day and I eagerly awaited his next words.

He smiled down at me. “It is time that you prove to me your loyalty.”

This was serious, so I sat up to look him directly in his gorgeous gray eyes. “You have my loyalty, Father. On my life.”

“I have a mission for you, my son,” Ara said as he climbed out of the bed.

I was laying naked under the covers, having had sex with Ara before the sun had risen. He had pleasured me with his mouth as a gift for proving myself a worthy fighter in my training with Titus. It was a gift I treasured and reveled in. The pleasure of Ara’s mouth was magical and I was held under his spell until I spilled the contents of my balls over his masterful tongue.

I frowned in confusion. “What mission, Father?”

Ara was putting on his long robe, and I caught a glimpse of his cock before he closed it. I actually felt my mouth water at the sight of it. I wanted to suck it, taste his salty seed as it spilled down my throat. Everything about him was enchanting to me. It was true, he was a god.

“I want you to return to the Church that raised you to kill all who reside there,” Ara said.

“All, Sire?”

He nodded. “All.”

“What about the spy you have there, Father?”

“He is already here and has beenembracedfor his loyalty.”

I knew better than to question his command any further. I thought about the young children there who were training as I had once trained when I was a child. The priests that raised me were there and I had to think about what Ara’s command meant. Why did he want me to kill them all? Was it so I could wash them away from my life like one did dirt under their nails?

“Are you conflicted, Théoden?” Ara asked, one eyebrow cocked.

I shook my head. “No, Father.”

“That is good. You are not to feed sexually on any of them, but gorge yourself on their blood. I want you to release your savagery, for they deserve it for the lies they controlled you with.”

“And the children?”

“You think them too innocent for your slaughter?”

I knew what he wanted to hear from me. “I will kill them,” I said.

“That is not what I asked of you, child.”

He wanted to know if I felt the children were too innocent for my viciousness. The answer I gave him now had to be one that would elevate me in his eyes.

Again, I shook my head. “I will show no mercy.”

“Then go, and take no weapons.”

So, my own abilities would be my only weapons. “Father, what about the King of Italy? King Nexus will not let me in his territory,” I stated. “Do I have permission?”

Ara snorted, and then sighed. “No, you do not have his permission. That is the other part of your mission. If you are discovered, I expect you to deal with the threat, but leave one of them alive to report back to their King. I want them to know what a powerful vampire you are.”
