Dante laughed. “Too late about the hissy fit, but I’ll do it anyway. Bye, Father.”

I said my goodbye before ending the call. The sun was almost rising, so my other sons and their sons started coming home. I told them the news and they were excited, but they also felt the bittersweetness of having to see their brothers leave. But they were happy for them, well, except for Donovan. Even Noel knew Donovan didn’t want this. But it was done. By the end of this week, Marco would own this condo with Marcus. I would be in my new home with Derek, Jace, Noel, and Romeo only with the exception of Ivan and Deijon and whoever Kendrick will send. Bruce would be with Ryan in his new home perfect for them, and Donovan would be sulking in his and if he was smart, adjusting to the life of a Sire. This son, he will have to solely be responsible for training, protecting, Fathering, and feeding. I was looking forward to seeing how they all rose to the challenge.

CHAPTER SIX

Tylendel

I checked the message on my cell from Théoden and laughed after reading it. Apparently, he was not happy I hadn’t fully prepared him to give the Rite of Passage. Honestly, I didn’t think he’d have to do one this quickly. Looked like Kendrick was putting him to the test. I called him, because I hated texting.

“What?” Théoden said in a groggy voice.

“Are you still sleeping during the day? What did I tell you about that?”

He groaned. “I thought I made it clear that I would need an adjustment period. I just went to bed…” he paused, probably to check his phone for the time. “Four hours ago, Tylendel. Why are you calling this fucking early?”

“Because you should already be awake. As a Knight, you have responsibilities and must be on call twenty-four hours a day. Get used to it. Secondly, I am your Elder Knight; I don’t mind you being candid when we’re alone, but I don’t want you slipping up in front of other Knights, Théoden,” I stated.

“Ahhh fuuck, it’s too damn early for all this shit, Ty,” he complained, or better yet, whined.

I looked at the time, it was 8a.m. I sighed. “I’m going to call you at 2p.m. You better have your ass awake and ready to talk by then,” I said, then hung up. I loved Théoden very dearly, but now that he was a Knight and part of Kendrick’s army, the dynamics of our relationship had to change. He had to get used to taking commands from me and without attitude. When he was just a vampire hybrid, no ties to Evander, he didn’t have to follow my orders and I couldn’t really give him any. Just advice, and messages from my King. I wondered how he would adjust to me being his superior?

I looked at the empty space on my bed where Giorgio would normally be resting. He’d be home later on today, as I’d given him more time to bond with his family since they were all reunited. I missed him, his scent, his warmth, his arms around me. Never in a million fucking years did I ever think I’d have feelings like this for anyone. As much as I loved Théoden, and we did have spectacular sex, I didn’t love him like I did Giorgio. Our love was brotherly. But with Giorgio, he was just supposed to be my slave. Some straight boy who I flipped like a pancake on my cock. Someone to empty my balls into and then rest my feet on his back when I was done and watch as my cum dripped from his battered asshole.

I did that too, several times in the beginning. But wouldn’t dream of doing it now. Not unless Giorgio wanted me to, and I knew he didn’t. He hated it when I treated him like trash. But even among all that earlier treatment, something began to happen between us. We began to talk between the fucking. Then the talking grew longer and more intimate and we got to know each other. Him being in love with me and me falling in love with him, I hadn’t seen it coming, but I was glad it was here. I was also grateful that Kendrick didn’t interfere. He was different from Evander and even my Father, but I liked what I was seeing thus far in his leadership.

Challenging Théoden as he did, giving him a dragon to bring into his powers one month after becoming a Knight, hell, that was ballsy. It was exciting to think about where he was going to lead us. Speaking of things that were a surprise, I decided to call Vex. Unlike Théoden, he answered with an alert tone, letting me know that he was already awake.

“Yes, Sir?” Vex answered, giving me my due respect. Of course, he was used to it.

“I’m coming over, I am curious about your relationship with Isiah,” I said.

He groaned. “Must you be, though?”

I laughed. “Yes, I must. I can’t help it.”

“Fine. See you soon.”

I ended the call, showered, and got dressed. My phone buzzed as I picked it up along with my wallet and keys. There was a text from Misha and I smiled. I called him back, because it was quicker.

“So, how does it feel to be a Knight again, my friend?” I asked as a greeting.

“Fan-fucking-tastic, Sir! I was worried that it’d be centuries before I could wear the mantle again. To have the power of a Knight for so long only to lose it. It hurt,” Misha said.

I felt such loss twice now, luckily, never for long. Misha had been relegated to soldier status for a month. Then he’d been chosen as a General, but now that he was a Knight, that position was going to have to be filled by another powerful dragon. I was glad Kendrick had listened to his council and made the decision to Knight Misha again. He wouldn’t be disappointed.

“I know, but it’s over now.”

“Thank God. I can’t wait to bring another baby dragon into his powers, Sir.”

I chuckled. “Théoden did so last night.”

“He did? Holy shit, Kendrick trusted his novice ass with that task?”

“Gotta learn some time.”

“Yeah, but… I guess, yeah. I wonder how it went?”

“From the bitchy text message Théoden left me, I’m guessing it went fine. He likes to whine about shit that catches him by surprise. I’m going to see him later on today. For now, I’m heading over to Vex’s to check in on him,” I said.
