“He’s so old and skilled, even at my age, I don’t stand a chance. It’s humbling. So, what are your plans with your baby dragon?”
“I’m to train him as my guard. But I need a favor from you,” he said.
“What kind of favor?”
“I need you to teach him that trick with the tongue you can do. I don’t know how,” he said.
“Oh, you mean this?” I asked then opened my mouth and let my tongue slip out only to elongate. It became thin enough to slide inside a man’s urethra. I changed it again, flattening it out, the tip splitting to fork like that of a serpent’s. Théoden’s eyes were glued to it, transfixed, and a bit envious if I wasn’t mistaking his expression.
“Yeah, that. If he’s going to be my guard, I need him to know that trick,” he said. I could feel his cock stirring against mine and I winked.
I let my tongue go back to its human state and nodded. “Sure, I’ll teach him. I’ll probably fuck him too. Give him a dose of a real dragon.”
“Fuck you,” Théoden groused, then tried to rise off my lap, but I stopped him, gripping his hips and keeping him in place.
“Don’t be like that. Jesus, you’re in a mood.” I frowned. “What the fuck?”
He huffed. “A lot going on, that’s all.”
“Tell me.”
He leaned down and kissed me, and that was what I was waiting for. I let his hips go and he rose, sitting down on the chair closest to the sofa. “Well, I’ll start with Ara’s decree.”
I sat and listened to everything Théoden had to say and he was right, his plate was full. But it also wasn’t anything he couldn’t handle. He just needed a moment to be able to take a breather. From house hunting, to growing Ara’s vampire army, and now this… my dear friend was feeling a bit stressed, I dare say.
“Want me to help you train DeiJon?” I asked.
He shook his head. “No, I can do it. Besides, I won’t have Kendrick thinking I can’t handle anything he throws my way. There is a reason why I’m Prince of the City; feared and respected.”
I nodded. “True. Ara trusts you with a great deal. I have no doubts that you will make as great a Knight as you do a Prince.”
Theoden winked, then sighed. “What really has me annoyed is Donovan. I’m pissed that he’s giving me an attitude he should have grown out of over all these years.”
I laughed. “Donovan is a brat, Théoden. He always has been. Anyone willing to be celibate for a religion is a stubborn fucker.”
Théoden laughed then and nodded. “I can’t argue with that logic. He was my most difficult child to break.”
“He’ll make you proud. You might just have to put your foot up his ass in a way he won’t get off on, but he’ll get in line.”
“Oh, he won’t have a choice but to get in line,” Théoden said.
I nodded. “He reminds me of you, to be honest.”
Théoden frowned. “What part?”
I laughed. “His ability to step out of line. He gets that from you, I’m sure.”
“I never—” Théoden paused his own bullshit when he saw my expression, because I was looking at him with one eyebrow arched and my lip curled in a smirk. He sighed. “You may have a point.”
“I know I do. I bet Ara has had to put you in check still, even after all these centuries,” I pointed out.
Théoden rolled his eyes. “In any case, I will deal with Donovan accordingly.”
“Nice detour,” I stated, seeing how he cleverly changed the subject of our discussion. I allowed him, since I knew he understood where I was coming from.
“Just so I know… when am I expected to be bright eyed and bushy tailed every morning?”
“I was up by eight this morning.”
