“So, you’re going to do the locator spell instead?” Xavier asked.
I nodded. “Until Sage returns, these other spells will have to wait.”
I gathered the blood of Lacey’s mother that I had pulled from the fabric of the carpet that was in the vial along with Lacey’s hair from her brush. I poured the blood into a sacred bowl, then added the hair. I mixed the two and held my hand over the bowl. Reading the incantation from the grimoire, a white light began to glow from my palm and it beamed down into the bowl. The sensation was ticklish, and it didn’t burn. But I could feel the power flowing through my body and from my palm.
“Volore…ashunde…tereth…tarithe…bionde,” I said the words that weren’t from any human language, but as I said them, I began to understand what each word meant. That was the power the book gave me. Magic was a blessing from the dark and light goddesses and the language I was speaking now was theirs. “Life…lost…mother…daughter…bind”. That was what the spell was doing.
Jewel must have gotten a little more curious because she joined us, taking a seat at the table next to Xavier to watch the show.
“Holy shit,” Xavier said as his eyes widened at my display. “I wonder, just how powerful are you now?”
I nodded, but couldn’t break away from saying the incantation until the spell was complete. The blood and hair in the bowl began to turn to white ash that sparkled like diamonds. Once it was all ash, I stopped saying the words. I then poured some of the Wolf’s Scent into the bowl with the other ash and mixed it with a stirring rod.
“What language was that?” Xavier asked.
I shrugged. “It’s the language of the gods and goddesses given to the book and it writes itself.”
“That’s some scary shit, Adrian. Are you sure you should be fucking with this book?” Xavier asked.
“I’m sure.” I reached over, grabbing the Amethyst Stone. I held the ruby colored stone in my palm. I gathered the elements of magic that were ever present in the atmosphere into my being and channeled it into my palm. The stone cracked open and I poured the white ash from the bowl into the hollow inside of the stone, then closed my palm around it, channeling that magic again. When I opened my hand, the stone was whole, but the inside was now filled.
“Well, that’s new. Never seen you do a locator spell like that before,” Xavier said.
“It was impressive,” Jewel said.
I chuckled. “It was pretty awesome, wasn’t it?”
“Yeah, I’mma need you to conjure up some money for your boy,” Xavier said.
I laughed and shook my head. “I don’t doubt that I could, but that seems like it would be a pricey spell. One for personal gain never comes without a hefty charge.”
“Well, then, never mind,” Xavier said.
“Yeah, that’s what I thought.” I leaned over the map, and using my magic again, I floated the stone over the map, searching for her location.
“You don’t even have to say a lot of words now. The magic just works,” Xavier said, taking note of my increased abilities.
I nodded. “To say that my confidence has tripled would be an understatement. It’s as if I know I can do these things. It’s natural for me. At least, that’s the way it feels.”
“So, this is a more powerful locator spell than you used to use?” Jewel asked.
“Oh, hell yeah. He would use something personal of theirs before and put his hand over it while dangling a crystal stone over the map. Sometimes, we’d get an exact location. Sometimes, we’d get the runaround,” Xavier answered.
“This time, there will be no question. We will have her exact location. We just need to be able to get to her,” I said.
“And if you find her, then what? Do we leave now, or wait for Sage?” Xavier asked.
The stone moved along the city of Orlando, which meant Lacey had put a lot of distance between us. We were going to have to wait for Sage. The stone hovered over Orlando, began to spin, then landed on the map. I looked at the location. Apparently, she was staying close to all the attractions. I guess if you were a spirit possessing a child, you’d want to go to Disney World too.
“We need to wait for Sage, because she’s about three hours away,” I said.
“Two if we take Sage’s private jet,” Jewel said.
“Of course, he has a private jet,” Xavier mumbled.
“Good for you, right?” Jewel remarked.
I ignored their bickering and pulled out my cell to call Sage. When he answered, the sound of his voice went straight down my spine to my cock. He stirred emotions inside of me I didn’t even know were there. God, I wanted him!
