Yufei's gang members stepped back, both were out of breath, their clothes and hands splattered with blood as they stood by, awaiting their next command.

“I told you they're solid,” Yufei boasted.

“Not this one,” remarked Tài Sun, Yufei's best friend and his second-in-command in their biker gang. He was looking at the one man who was trying desperately to make himself smaller in the corner.

Jun De checked out Tài Sun, who appeared to be as tough as he looked. He was wearing a black tank top and cargo pants with boots. A metal chain was connected to his pants and to something he had stuffed in his back pocket. Jun De noticed all of the tattoos that adorned the man's flesh and knew that his whole body was probablycovered in them. He was six feet, black hair cut short at the top and shaved low on the sides. No doubt a major player in the family.

“What are you going to do about that one?” Da Han asked his brother, Yufei.

Yufei huffed and looked at the coward. Without saying a word, he pulled his gun out from behind his back and pulled the trigger. Blood and brain matter splattered the wall before the coward's body slumped to the floor. “I misjudged that fucking poser,” he said and slipped his gun back into place. He looked at the other two men who had jumped when he killed the other. “Bai, Nick... you proved that you're ready for this life.”

Da Han chuckled and shook his head. “Not yet.”

Yufei turned to him. “They tortured those assholes.”

“Is that all they can do?” Da Han asked.

Yufei snorted, then turned to his boys. “Kill them,” he ordered.

Jun De looked at the men to gauge their reactions. They looked at each other, then back at their leader.

Yufei raised an eyebrow but remained silent. He knew just as much as anyone that he was also being put to the test. He'd picked these men to join his biker gang. To represent his family's triad. He'd already messed up with one of his choices. These other two had to step up, because if they didn't, his judgment would be called into question.

Tài Sun walked over to the men and removed two knives from his back sheaths and held them out. “Take them.”

“I've got my own,” Nick said, then pulled out a knife.

Bai took one of the knives Tài Sun offered, then turned to face one of the bloodied men he had tortured. He gripped the knife tightly as he loomed over the weak, whimpering man.

Jun De watched as well as Da Han, Yìchén, Tian Yu, Stephen, Chen, Mèng Yáo, Yufei, and Tài Sun. Just to see if they'd beable to follow through. If not, he was sure there'd be seven bodies to get rid of instead of five.

Nick was the first to do the deed, stabbing one of the men several times in the chest and stomach. He finally stopped once the man slumped over, blood gushing from the wounds. He looked at Bai and the other man swallowed hard, looked at Yufei one last time, and then growled before plunging the blade into his target's torso once, right through the heart. Efficient and quick, Jun De liked that.

“Good,” Da Han said with a nod of approval.

“I'll deal with this one,” Tài Sun said, then he walked to the last man tied to the chair and slid his knife into the man's eye, slowly and deeply until the man's screams were cut off along with his life.

Vicious, Jun De thought. He watched Tài Sun kill the man and he didn't seem to take pleasure in it. He handled it as if it was just something that needed to be done like taking out the trash. Perhaps, that was what it was to him, the act of killing an enemy of the Jade Dragon Triad.

“It would seem that you can pick worthy men, Yufei. I was concerned for a second,” Da Han said.

Yufei smiled. “So, you see why I'm not worried about the Lords of Chaos.”

Da Han rolled his eyes. “You'll still act when I tell you to,” the Dragonhead said.

To that, Yufei remained silent.

“I'll get rid of these bodies,” Stephan said.

“Please do.” Da Han nodded, then turned and walked out of the room.

It was over, tests had been passed, and now it was time to make their move on their next targets. At least, that was what Jun De figured would be Da Han's goal. To take over all of Chicago and even the state, becausewhoever ran Chicago, ran Illinois. That wasn't the only thing on Jun De's mind because he was never afraid of war. He thrived when he had someone whom he could make bleed. No, it was the sexual desire he felt for his boss and his boss' wife. The public orgasm he had changed everything. No longer would he be able to deny Da Han, so if his boss wanted him that badly, he'd give Da Han all of him and see if the man could handle what he brought to the bedroom.

That was why they tell you to be careful what you wish for.
