Da Han smirked at his brother. “Doubting my skills for negotiation, brother?”

Tian shook his head. “Of course not... but I remain cautious about their motivations.”

Jun De had learned a lot about the men of the Jade Dragon Triad and how each one fit in the hierarchy. He was a yakuza and was now a part of the triad to protect Da Han and Mèng Yáo , which meant he had to learn a lot quickly between the two cultures.

Da Han chuckled. “I understand. For one thing, they didn't appreciate how Rico Castiello came into their territory waving his big dick around, demanding that they accept his conditions or else. The five families had been running New York consistently for the past twenty-eight years—and peacefully—I might add. Rico came in like a bull in a China shop and stirred up shit in their state. I offered them a solution, but told them that they needed to help if they didn't want me to be a problem. They chose wisely.”

Tian nodded. “I see. So, what's the plan for New York?”

“I'm glad you asked. I'm heading there with Stephen and Chen,” Da Han said. “Once I claim my portion, I'm going to have Li take over that territory.”

“But I thought Li was going to take over the Orlando territory?” Tian Yu asked.

“Don't worry about that,” Da Han said.

Tian only sighed at that.

“How can we not worry, especially when we're sending men there to defend it?” Chen asked.

Da Han's expression grew hard because he didn't like having his orders challenged. “Do you remember the discussion we had not too long ago? The one about you knowing your place?”

Chen swallowed and bowed at the waist. “I apologize, sir. I meant no disrespect.”

“But you did disrespect me,” Da Han said, then rose from behind his desk to approach Chen. The room remained quiet as the two men talked. “Look atme.”

Chen raised up and settled his gaze on his boss. When the blow came, he didn't stumble, but he did grunt from the pain of the impact. He straightened and looked at Da Han again, and braced himself for another blow. The second was stronger than the first, and split his lip. Again, he straightened.

“I hope we don't have to have this discussion again,” Da Han said.

Chen bowed his head. “No, sir. I understand.”

“Clean yourself up,” Da Han ordered, then returned to his desk, adjusting his suit before sitting down.

Jun De watched as Chen took his handkerchief out and dabbed the blood away from his bottom lip. He then returned his gaze to Da Han and something about their boss made Jun De want to teach him a lesson. His cock grew to life in his pants and he closed his eyes and took a deep breath to calm his libido down. Now was not the time to be sporting a hard-on.

“As I was saying, don't worry about the Florida territory, because at the end of this war, neither the Castiellos nor the Lords will be a problem for us,” Da Han said.

“All I want to know is when can I kick the asses of the Lords,” Yufei said. The blonde dye in his hair was growing out, leaving black roots.

“Now that the nasty business with our uncle is dealt with, have at it, brother. But now, don't play games like stealing their cuts. Take their lives,” Da Han said.

“That's the only game I want to play,” Yufei said with a wicked smile. He slapped the pec of his best friend and right hand, Tai Soo-un, and he nodded in return.

Da Han continued. “Tian, I'm leaving Chicago and Illinois to you. Once I'm done in New York, I will be returning to China.”

“Are you leaving this house to me, too?” Tian Yu asked with a smirk. He really loved the house.

“It is a beauty. Of course. This mansion belongs to the triad,” Da Han said. Jun De knew he'd only purchased the house to create a stronghold base in the city in preparation for the impending war. The place was a fortress and it'd be stupid for any enemy to try to take them on their own grounds.

As for leaving Chicago for New York and ultimately Beijing, he didn't have any opinion about it one way or the other. He went wherever his boss did. But if he did have a choice, he'd rather live in Italy where he grew up or Japan, where he lived for a spell to further his training.

“So, are we all on the same page?” Da Han asked.

The men nodded. “Yes,” Li said over the phone.

“Good,” Da Han said. “Take care, Li.”

“I will, Dad,” Li said, then hung up.
