“A homosexual and he made six kids!” I exclaimed.
That was scary as hell. I was sure most women would feel secure with their man being straight for sure after birthing that many children. So to know a nigga could put six in you and still be gay was crazy work.
“He and my mother grew up in strict Christian families, so when she got pregnant with Khari, they made them get married. Then I think the nigga felt pressured to continue to be straight and live a straight life. And people ain’t gon’ ask questions if you married and ya wife is having a baby every two years.”
“Nope, they won’t.” I thought on it. I would’ve never guessed that was Unique’s background. “Is that the age difference between you guys?”
“Yeah. Two years each.” He nodded.
“You’re the baby, I’m guessing?”
“I am. Well, me and Banks.” He half smiled, and he was so cute I had to lean up and kiss him a few times.
“I wish I had siblings.”
“Yeah, it’s good and bad—more good though. You always got people in yo’ corner. You never bored.” He chuckled subtly. “You gon’ know how to fight ’cause you gon’ have to fight them niggas.”
“So what’s the bad?”
“Not bad, necessarily, but people always compare you. I mean, I look better than them niggas, but I’m not as successful, and I ain’t as rich.” He eyed me.
It was crazy to me that a man who looked like this and did so well for himself, could have even one insecurity.
“Notyet.”
“You right, not yet. I be telling them niggas I can’t kick it every other weekend. Y’all spend too much fucking money.”
I laughed, intrigued by all of this. “I mean, you’re far from broke, so I can only imagine what too much money is.”
“Shit, a lot. We rarely go to the club and shit, especially ’cause them niggas is fathers and husbands now. But last time we went, bill was thirty grand. Me and them niggas have never argued as long as we did that night, ’cause I didn’t get what the fuck was even bought or ordered for that type of shit.
“Then we almost jumped the club owner, thinking he was trying to play us and… it was just a crazy ass night.”
“That is wild.” I bucked my eyes, laughing as Unique shook his head at the memory. “So who paid?”
“We all paid, just split the shit up, so like four thousand and some change a piece.”
“Yeah, I agree. That’s too much.” I caressed his hardened abs, thinking about going for another round. I couldn’t stay off his dick. It was so big, thick, and perfect. I caught a glimpse of my ring as I rubbed on him, and it made me smile. “Does being compared bother you?”
“When I was younger it did but now, not so much I guess.” He shrugged and stared off like he was thinking.
“Well, I think you’re amazing.” I pressed my chin into his chest to look at his beautiful face.
“I know.” He half smiled and when I playfully scoffed he said, “I don’t mean it in a cocky ass way. I know you think I’m amazing and I love that shit. You know shit about me a lot of muthafuckas don’t and you still make a nigga feel like he it.” He moved my hair back, taking me in with those pretty eyes. I don’t gotta be the richest, handsomest, or toughest nigga in the room for you to fuck with me.”
“You don’t,” I said, though Unique was possibly the finest nigga I’d ever run across, was a millionaire, and was six feet four inches of chiseled muscle. How he didn’t know he actuallywasthe finest, richest, and toughest in the room most of the time was kind of crazy. We kissed before I said, “Since we’re telling families, mine is having a barbecue next month, family reunion thing, so maybe you should come.”
“I can do that.” I saw his face brighten, so I knew my suggestion made him happy.
“Thank you for this ring, baby.” I stared at it again, stretching my hand out to take it in.
“Thank you for accidentally marrying a nigga.” He leaned over, kissing me slowly.
“You’re welcome.” I cooed, biting my lip as he spread my legs with one hand and climbed in between them.
Placing my legs on his shoulders, he entered me slowly, and for the first time tonight, I realized we hadn’t used a condom all day.
