“Speaking of, what are you gonna do about that?”

“About what?” Christy asked.

Taylor sighed as Justine began filling Christy in on the meeting and Dean’s stupid-ass idea. When Justine reached the crucial part in the story, dropping Beau’s name in, Christy spat her drink out.

“No way! Oh myGod, that’s perfect!” she shouted with glee.

“I know, right?” Justine added and they shared evil grins.

“Hello!” Taylor called, clapping her hands to get their attention. “This is not perfect and it’s not happening!”

“Why not?”

“Because…because it’s…. just because!” she spluttered.

“Look, it might be a little awkward at times, but you’ll get past it. There are worse men to pretend to be in love with,” Justine said.

“Absolutely!” Christy agreed, enthusiastically slurping her drink.

“No, it’s not a good idea, trust me.”

“Question, why do you hate each other so much?” Christy fixed her piercing blue eyes on Taylor.

“We just don’t get on, that’s all. He’s too nice, our personalities just clash.”

“He isn’ttoonice, he’s a great guy,” Justine defended him, sounding slightly emotional.

“Can we just drop this? Please?” Taylor begged.

“Okay. For now. But we need you to consider this because it seems like Dale’s getting bolder and he needs to be stopped. We’re worried about you, and Beau could actually keep you safe and it could end this whole ordeal,” Justine said, giving hermomeyes.

“We want you safe and happy. Would you really risk that just for your pride?” Christy added and Taylor felt like she was being scolded.

Taylor shrugged. “I’ll think about it, I promise.”

“Thank you, boo.”

“Now, tell us more about your pregnancy. Any weird cravings?” Taylor asked Justine.

Justine shot them both a coy smile. “Oh yes, but not for food.” She waggled her dark eyebrows and Christy cackled.

“That’s my girl,” Taylor smiled, shaking her head. After a few more minutes of chatting, she went back to the bar and saw Dean, Blake and Beau come in and sit with Christy and Justine.

She kept her head down, the girls’ words playing on her mind. She knew they wouldn’t understand her resistance to the idea but maybe they were right. She threw herself into work and the more customers she served the more she realized how many good-looking men were here tonight. Maybe she could find another man to use instead of Beau? It was worth a shot. Hellanythingwas worth a shot.

Taylor turned her charm up to the max and flirted shamelessly with every man who crossed her path. Serving them smiles and compliments with their drinks which earned her plenty of appreciative looks but none of them took the bait. What gives?

“What can I get you, handsome?” she said, turning to the next man in the queue and found herself face to face with Beau. His huge arms were folded over his chest, his black muscle tee with another colorful logo that she assumed was something to do with superheroes, pulled way too tight, highlighting each bicep to a scandalous degree. He really was a man-mountain, but one she had no intention of climbing. He raised his eyebrows and his mouth quirked up in that annoyingly sexy way.

“I’ll take another Blowjob please; the last one you gave me was just too good.” His voice trekked over her, tantalizing her like it always did.Okay, does he do something to deepen it on purpose because this isn’t natural!

“Really, Beau? Immature sex jokes? Okay, how about a Slippery Nipple? Or a Screaming Orgasm?” she snapped, annoyed that he’d already gotten under her skin by being…annoying.

“If you’re giving away Screaming Orgasms, I definitely won’t say no.”

“Aw, you probably need all the help you can get with giving those.”

A lazy smirk lifted his lips again. “No sweetheart, I really don’t.”
