There was a new guy in the HR department and oh my God was he fine! I caught Will looking at me as we explained our situation and Korain, the new HR administrator, found us the appropriate forms.

In the elevator, Will smirked. “You’re practically drooling. I’m glad we sorted stuff out before you saw Korain. He’s like something out of that k-pop group you like.”

I laughed, but blushed. Busted. Korain was totally my type. “He’s got nothing on you, babe.” I told him before pressing a quick kiss on his lips.

“Hmm.”

I got the feeling that he was teasing me. A small smile curved the corners of his lips, but I still tried to soothe him. “No, really. I can see that he’s gorgeous but that’s all it is. All I need is you.”

“I trust you. I don’t easily trust, but with you…there’s no question. I know you’d never hurt me like that.”

After kissing me breathless in the elevator, we announced our relationship to our teams by walking in holding hands before Will went to the break room to get us coffee. Handing me mine, he kissed the top of my head before sitting down and starting his day.

Most of the staff just gaped at us and I couldn’t hold back my laughter. Giving Will a shove, I got his attention and motioned to the office watching us.

“Andy and I are a couple. Deal with it.” Will said in his usual brusque work tone. It was so hot when it wasn’t directed at me.

Freddie appeared in the doorway, “Show’s over, everyone. Back to work please, I’m sure there’s work to be done.” There was laughter in his voice.

Coming over to us, he whispered, “Just heard the news. About time, you two!” He clapped us both on the shoulder and left again.

“Well, at least the company’s on board.” I whispered.

A few minutes later Will’s phone buzzed on the desk. Glancing at it, he gave a laugh and showed it to me. The text was from Freddie, saying that his dad had won the bet.

“Bet?”

“Seems they’d bet on how long it’d be before we got together. Parker Senior won since he had inside eight months,” he told me, reading the full message and texting back and forth with Freddie.

I shrugged. “I’m just glad neither one of us has to leave.”

At lunchtime I got a call from Mr. Grady, my landlord, from my apartment. “Not good news, I’m afraid. You need a new boiler and I can’t get one put in until next week. I can give you some space heaters and change out your shower for an electric shower, it’ll heat the water for you. It’s the best I can do for you. I’m really sorry, Andy. You’re a great tenant and you’ve fixed the place up nice.”

“Can’t be helped, it isn’t your fault, Mr. Grady.”

“Alan, please, you’ve known me long enough.”

“No worries, Alan. You’ve done your best. We both know that the boiler’s been a bit funny for a while. I have a place to stay for the weekend…”

Will interrupted, “For as long as you need.”

“I have a place to stay but wouldn’t say no to the new shower. The water pressure isn’t great in the current one.”

“Say no more, my boy. The electric shower should help with pressure issues. It’ll be fitted today and if you need to come home, let me know, and I’ll drop off those heaters to you until the new boiler is installed next week.”

“Thanks, Alan.”

Ending the call, I turned to Will, kissing him on the cheek. “You’re the best boyfriend.”

“Anything for you.”

I knew he meant it.

Thirty Four- Will

Having Andy in my bed was amazing! Waking up to him after a night of scorching hot sex was better. I could have done without my four-year-old nephew bursting in, though.
