“Thank you for arranging this. All you’ve done since you agreed to date me has made my life better. Everything I am now is because of you.” He nuzzled my head and held me close. “I love you, Cody. I’m going to tell you every day until you believe it.”

“I do believe it.”

“Deep inside, you don’t feel worthy. Don’t worry, even when you finally feel worthy, I’ll still keep saying it, because it’ll still be true. I’m going to love you until the end of my days.”

My grip on Toth must have been bruising, but he didn’t complain. He just pressed kisses to my hair. “It doesn’t feel like enough to say I love you, too. You’ve given me so much. When he took you—“

“Shh. no more of that. I’m never leaving your side. Ever.”

Toth

“You can’t go to a business meeting like that!” Cody shouted, looking scandalized.

I looked down at myself. I was in my full demon form, wings out and ready to take us down to the portal in the barn. “What? Why?”

“Leather pants? That’s it. Your entire outfit for a business meeting is leather pants?”

“Do you not like them?” I smirked. I knew he did. He’d taken in the sight of me, bare chested, legs tightly wrapped in leather, and had gulped. His arousal had filled the room. I’d even caught him adjusting himself in his green tweed suit. Another of Damon’s purchases, judging by the fit.

“You know I like them. They just aren’t appropriate for a business meeting. The Alpha and Alpha Mate will be here with their pups and the elves soon.” Cody frowned. “I just want this meeting to go well.”

I drew him into my arms, wrapping us securely in my wings. “It’ll be fine. Would it help if I said I had a shirt and vest in the barn?”

His shoulders slumped. “Yes. It would.”

“Great,” I stepped away, my tail wrapped around his arm firmly, and tugged him towards the door. “Let’s go.”

He grumbled something. It sounded like an insult, so I ignored it. I loved teasing my mate, seeing him relax in my presence each time I did as we became more familiar with each other. Our bond was deep, strong, unbreakable.

We got outside, my wings stretched in the breeze. It was so good to be free. “Come on, I’ll fly us down.”

“What? No! My hair!”

I used my tail to tug him into my arms and launched us into the air. I couldn’t help my laugh as Cody squealed.

With a blink, he magicked his wings free, making handy slots in his suit coat for them. They slapped me in the face and, in my surprise; I dropped him.

He laughed as his wings hit an updraft. He picked up the pace quickly. Soon he was gliding ahead of me. “Race you!” he shouted.

We landed within seconds of each other, Cody hitting the ground first. We had just enough time to tidy our hair, and for me to put on my shirt, before the portal opened and our new business partners walked through.

The alpha was holding two pups in his arms. Both with black hair like their alpha father. The alpha’s mate had the other, a red-head, similar in coloring to his omega parent. I didn’t know much about shifters, but I knew triplets were unheard of, especially to a male omega. Cody approached, made the introductions, and cooed over the babies. He was adorable as he carefully removed little fingers from his horns.

We took a tour, walking slowly through the trees. Cody returned to his place by my side. “Are we able to have babies like them?” Cody whispered as Jorgoth went about collecting apple samples for our visitors.

“Not quite. It would take a lot of magic,” I said in an undertone. A family wasn’t something I’d considered since being estranged from my own. I had siblings, they had their own families, little demonkin I’d never met. Cody had been without his for so long, of course he wanted to create a happy unit for himself. “Once we get this set up, we can talk about it again.”

“Did you mention babies, son?” Mori liked to drop in the word son as much as possible, as if people could miss the connection between the pair. It was there in the slope of their noses. The same full upper lip. I just rolled my eyes and didn’t comment. Having Mori in our lives had made things so much easier, so I wasn’t going to complain.

Cody blushed prettily. “I’ve always been jealous of omegas carrying babies. I’d love to have someone that was a mix of me and Toth. A sign of our bond.”

I felt a wide smile break over my face at his words.

“I’d need to teach you how to feed well.” Mori slung an arm around his son.

“You are not taking my mate to a strip club without me,” I said stonily, trying to draw him from his father as if he was taking him now.

“Of course not! Conceiving will drain the magic from both of you. You’ll both need to feed more. Cody’s never really done it, so he needs to practice. What we need is somewhere like a heat club that the shifters have.” Mori directed his attention to the alpha wolves. “Alpha Blake, do you have a heat club near your pack?”
