Her body was waiting for those words, and I felt it all over my dick. Jersei’s wetness milked me, pulling my nut right out of me and into her walls. My nut hit so hard I couldn’t stop shaking, while she kept grinding her hips into me so much that she came again. I lowered her legs and laid on her chest for a minute trying to get my shit together. Bringing her hand to my lips, I placed kisses on the back of her skin until her body stopped shaking.
I make-shifted a clean rag with a fresh pack of shirts I had in my gym bag and a bottle of water. I gave her a cup of water and cleaned her the best I could, then myself before we redressed. There was a small pier on the lake, and I wasn’t sure how sturdy it was, so I went out there first and jumped and jogged on it a few times before inviting Jersei.
“What the hell are you doing?” She laughed.
“Do you wanna get ate up by snakes and alligators?”
“Gators ain’t ‘round here. That’s deeper in the south.”
“Yeah, aight. You don’t know what the fuck in that water,” I chortled and pulled her closer to me. The moonlight seemed to be beaming directly on us. “I um, I want to give you something.”
Jersei’s brows raised as she watched me get the long box from my pocket. “What is it?”
I pulled the top open revealing the gold necklace with a star pendant. To the right of it was a small moon withV&Jengraved on the back.
“I started feeling something stronger for you when we had the picnic. I was like damn it’s the wine or some shit and I sat with myself while we were watching the movie. I asked God togive me a quick sign, looked up and the first thing I saw was the moon and a sparkling star. We watched them that night and made wishes on them, but they served as confirmation I didn’t even need for real. I hope this shit don’t sound corny, but I got us a his and hers set. Yours is a necklace and mine is a chain. The only difference is mine is the star and you’re the moon,” I pointed out. A tear fell from her eye as she looked at the difference in the jewelry.
“Vayce, oh my gosh. It will never not amaze me that you pray to God for me.”
“Every day,” I wiped a tear from her eye.
“It’s so beautiful. They’re so perfect. Thank you!” She squealed. I chuckled at her excitement. She lifted her hair as I unhooked her necklace and draped it across her skin. I hooked it and placed a kiss on the back of her neck.
“Twenty-one karats, ‘cause fourteen ain’t enough. I don’t tell you I love you ‘cause it sounds good. I tell you ‘cause what I feel for you exceeds the moon and the stars. Only God knows what surpasses that and even He knows my love for you reaches there too. I love you, Jersei.”
She grabbed my chain and placed it around my neck. Palming the sides of my face, she kissed my lips tenderly. “This is everything. I’m so thankful for you. You will never not be special to me. You came into my life and knocked every player off my board. The players weren’t people per say, but things. Doubts, fears, depressions, all the bad shit I believed about myself, the negative thinking about the things I wanted. You helped me. You have helped me see life in a different light because you are just that fucking amazing. So yes, thank you for helping me see what you see. I know we were being nasty in that mirror,” she giggled. I smiled. “But I saw myself in another realm. In a realm of life that made me feel unstoppable and I haven’t come back down yet. I never want to. You make my bad days feel good, colddays feel like a heated blanket. You are my comfort. You’re a good man, Vayce Denver. My man. Sending you that picture was an accident, but it will forever be my favorite mistake. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you. nine months later
“The only time I like being blindfolded is when we are roleplaying. How many times must I tell you this Mr. Denver?”
“A thousand more times baby. I got selective hearing when my mind is set on some shit,” I held her hand tighter as we walked up the pathway. The closer we got, the more my heart dropped to my ass. “Big steps right here. You ready?”
“I trust you.”
We ascended the steps, and Jersei released the biggest breath when we reached the top. If I didn’t know better, I would’veremoved the covering over her eyes, but I knew she’d be nosey. Instead, I put a bottle of water to her lips once she wasn’t as winded.
“You okay? Need to sit for a minute? You want these heels off?”
“Yes, I am good, and my feet are fine baby,” she snickered. “Thank you.” She rubbed her lips together then puckered them. I smiled and kissed her twice. “Do you know what today is? It’s our anniversary,” she sang and kissed my lips with a little more passion. I pulled her closer and slapped her ass and she moaned. “Oh yes, definitely better now. You ain’t gone hear me complain no more. I promise.”
I chuckled and gave her one more kiss before creating space between us.
I needed the quick distraction but also needed to stay focused. Jersei was right. A year ago today, she stormed her stubborn ass into my office. I didn’t realize it was the day I planned everything until I was going through the Pea Drive and saw that I first logged Zion then. It was crazy that everything fell on today. I guess this is what mutha’fuckas meant by fate. I pressed Valen’s number letting it ring once before hanging up. My phone chimed and I knew we were good to go.Shit.
I looked up at the building ahead of me. I’d been here several times this past year but tonight would be the start of more. This shit felt worse than report card day when you were nervous of your mama asking where it was, except there wasn’t a lie I could tell to get me out of this shit. There wasn’t one I wanted to tell either. After a few more steps, I opened the door and took in the surroundings. Neither of our families were big, but every person in the room made the space feel full of love and that shit was more than enough.
The space was filled with hues of brown like I wanted down to everyone's attire. I wore a brown polo shirt that was openat the top with cream pants. The night was about Jersei, so I made sure she wore a white dress that tied around the neck and accessorized it with gold, and she looked stunning. Her hair was in a high puff with some hanging pieces in the front and back. Black was still her color, but any could set her apart.
In the far corner that would likely serve as her private room for parties, I could see a hint of the brown balloon arches and the beginning of the trail of rose petals. Valen gave me a thumbs up. I stepped away from Jersei, and she reached for me immediately. I stood behind her and pressed a kiss just under her necklace and she released a breath.
“I’m right here, baby. I’m about to take this off. You ready?” She nodded. I untied the blindfold and the flashes went off. I appreciated that they respected my wishes to wait until after I took the blindfold off for pictures.
“Surpriseeee!” Everyone roared.
