"Yeah?"
"Take me home."
Two words, but they change everything. I look overat Gavin and Asher. They're watching us, knowing. Waiting.
"All of us?" I ask, because I need to be clear. Need to know we're all on the same page.
"All of you." She looks up at me, eyes dark with want and something else. Something that looks dangerously like affection. "Is that... is that okay?"
I should say no. Should walk away. Should protect myself and them and her from what's coming in twenty-three-some-odd days.
Instead, I say, "Yeah. It's okay."
We pile into one truck, leaving mine behind. The ride home is silent except for the radio playing something low and staticky. Kenzie's pressed between me and Gavin, with Asher driving. Every bump in the road shifts her against me. Every turn presses her closer. By the time we reach the ranch, my control is hanging by a thread.
We makeit to the house, barely. The door's hardly closed before Gavin's kissing Kenzie, all heat and demand. She melts into him, making these little sounds that go straight to my cock.
"My turn," Asher says, pulling her away from Gavin and into a kiss that's slower but no less intense.
I stand there, watching, my control finallysnapping. When Asher releases her, she turns to me, eyes blown wide with desire.
"Trent?"
I don't answer with words. I can't. Instead, I kiss her like I've wanted to since that first morning when she stood on my porch defending her right to coffee. Like I've wanted to every time she's challenged me, defied me, surprised me.
Like I want her.
She kisses me back with the same intensity, her fingers tangling in my hair, pulling me closer. When we break apart, we're both breathing hard.
"Upstairs," she says, and it's not a question. "Now."
She grabs my hand, then reaches for Gavin and Asher. "All of you."
We follow her up the stairs like we're in a trance. Like she's got us on invisible leashes. Maybe she does.
In the guest bedroom, she turns to face us, and there's something different about her. The nervousness from earlier is gone, replaced by determination and want.
"I need to know this is what you all want," she says. "Not just tonight. Not just because of the adrenaline and the beer. But really want."
"Kenzie—" Gavin starts.
"No." She holds up a hand. "I need to hear it. From all of you."
Gavin steps forward first, because of course he does. "I've wanted you since you stepped in that mudpuddle looking like you were going to fight the entire ranch."
Asher's next. "Since you paid twelve dollars for arugula and didn't apologize for it."
They look at me. I should lie. Should protect myself. Instead: "Since you told me tyrants need coffee too."
She smiles, slow and dangerous. "Good. Because I've wanted all of you, and I'm tired of pretending otherwise."
She pulls Gavin down for a kiss that's all demand. I watch his hands slide into her hair, watch her press against him, and instead of jealousy, there's just heat. Want. Need.
"Don't just stand there," she says when she breaks away from Gavin, looking at me and Asher. "This doesn't work if you're just watching."
Asher laughs, low and rough. "Bossy."
"You have no idea." She pulls him in next. Watching them together, with Asher's hands on her waist, her fingers working at his shirt buttons, makes my blood run hot.
