"This one is from me," he says, his deep voice catching. "To symbolize my promise to stand by you and our child, always."

Buck takes the second ring and slips it on top of Griff’s. "Mine represents joy and laughter," he says. "I promise to bring that to our family every day."

Ford places the final ring on my finger, completing the set. The three bands nestle together perfectly, creating a stunning, unique symbol of our unconventional love. "And mine," he says, "is for wisdom and patience. For building a life together that will last."

I stare at my left hand, totally in disbelief. I’m going to be a mom… and I’m getting married. I can’t imagine anything better.

We spend the next hour talking about the future, about how our lives will change with a baby in the mix. The football game plays silently in the background, completely forgotten.

As the afternoon light shifts to evening, I find myself on the couch surrounded by my family—Buck's arm around my shoulders, Ford's hand in mine, Griff sitting close enough that he can reach out and touch me. The three rings on my fingercatch the light when I move, sending tiny rainbows dancing across the ceiling.

One year ago, I drove back to Flounder Ridge not knowing if I'd be welcomed or rejected, terrified of what the future might hold. Now I sit here, surrounded by more love than I ever thought possible, with a new life growing inside me.

I used to think happiness was finding the one person meant for you. Now I know better. Sometimes it's finding the three people who, together with you, create something perfect. Something that defies convention but feels more right than anything else ever could.
