Tovey nipped at his lips, distracting him while Stan worked his way inside.
"Gods." Hugo thrust into Tovey and then back on Stan's cock. "This. We need to do more of this. All of this. All the time."
Tovey silenced him with another kiss. Stan twisted his fingers through Tovey's in Hugo's hair, and they let Hugo move, slowly at first, rocking himself on Stan's cock, his thrusts sending gentle waves of pleasure through Tovey. Hugo lay his head on Tovey's chest, his breath tickling his nipple.
Tovey gasped as he was entangled in air weaves that circled his cock and pinched his nipples to full attention.
Stan grinned at him."Relax. We've got you."
Tovey couldn't let Stan outdo him with air weaves. He composed his own, sending a shiver through Stan that reached him through Hugo's cock.
"Fuck. You'll always be the expert. Happy now?"
"So happy." Tovey smiled up at him and rocked his hips in time with Hugo's thrusts. Stan dropped his hand to grab Hugo's hips, and Tovey slid his hands to Hugo's shoulders, losing his hold on everything but the sounds of their lovemaking and the overwhelming sensations cascading through his body. He was floating and flying in a way that had terrified him before. He was in love with Stan and Hugo. Now, he knew they both wanted to keep him. They would anchor him and calm his fears when he was too afraid to stay.
Hugo came first, his cock pulsing inside Tovey's channel as he continued to thrust into him, driven by Stan's need. Stan'sair weave tightened around Tovey's cock, the extra pressure sending him over the edge, along with Stan's desperate shout as he came, too.
Stan rolled onto his side and kissed Hugo's sweaty cheek. Then, he kissed Tovey, long and deep. So many years of pain were wrapped up in that kiss, and a flood of forgiveness.
"I love you," Tovey whispered.
"I love you more." Stan grinned.
"Oh, we're not starting that, are we?" Hugo groaned. "My parents played that game. So embarrassing."
"We love you most," Stan and Tovey said at the same time, kissing Hugo's cheeks until he blushed and laughed so hard, he almost choked.
"Enough." Hugo's command stopped their kisses, but it didn't keep them from rolling him onto his back and snuggling up to his sides. Tovey reached for Stan's hand and twined their fingers on Hugo's chest. Hugo wrapped his hands around theirs. "Gods, I love you both." He stared up at the pastoral scene painted on the ceiling. "The last time I was in this room, I didn't think I would find a single person in this empire to love me. Now I have two."
"Everyone in this empire will come to love you, Your Majesty." Tovey kissed his cheek. "But if they get too close, we'll have to kill them."
Hugo laughed. "Now you sound like Vadim."
Tovey wasn't even upset at the comparison. He'd been jealous of Vadim's relationship with Klaus. Now, he had love of his own, love he had killed to protect, and would do so again as Hugo's guard.
"Can we be your guards and your consorts?" he wondered aloud.
"I dub thee guard-consorts." Hugo yawned. "We'll have a ceremony and everything. Very grand, like you."
Tovey didn't feel grand, but he couldn't wait to become Hugo's official guard-consort. From the grin on Stan's face as he stared down at Hugo, he felt the same way.
Chapter 19
Hugo
Every day for a week, there were reports of fighting in the streets of Hearthstone. Coryn's loyalists had taken over a lumberyard near the docks. In an attempt to wait out the winter or build their own ship, Hugo couldn't confirm.
Thankfully, there were no reports of undead walking the streets or washing up on shore. Once Klaus regained his strength, he found a few pockets of them hidden around the academy and sent them back to their graves.
They left a mess, though. The earth weavers they'd rescued at the academy were quick to return them to their graves. Most had never been buried, so they created mass graves where they had fallen on Stony Eel Island and in the palace courtyard, just as they'd done on Aquarion.
Hugo held a small ceremony in the courtyard. They commemorated the fallen with a plaque to mark their final resting places. So many people had died. Hugo didn't know their names or their ties to Coryn, but he felt responsible. Coryn had done this in his name, even if she had no power to do it herself.
"We still haven't found the healers who helped her," Yvette said once the ceremony was over and all but their small group of pirates had dispersed. It had been a week, butWildfirewas still docked at Hearthstone after repairs. She'd taken a hole to the hull that her first mate, Devon, couldn't repair on his own.Stan had helped, but Hugo refused to letWildfirerejoin the fight.
Starlight Specterhadn't returned yet, though the way the storms dissipated near shore, Hannah was still at the helm and giving Coryn's last loyalists a run for their lives. Roy and Ray had limped back to shore with a ragged naval ship and a hull full of rescued weavers from the islands surrounding Stony Eel Island. They'd refused to fight against the pirates, and the navy loyalists had deserted them.
"Hearthstone is buzzing about taking the lumberyard back from the loyalists today," Nola said. "We'll have them soon and drag them back to stand trial."
