Tovey broke their kiss with a laugh. "That's the point."

"I'm so fucking close, again," Hugo groaned.

"Mmm, also the point."

Tovey kissed him, and he couldn't think. His second orgasm ripped through him with far more force. The first hadbeen slow and sweet. This was hotter than a wildfire, burning along his veins and emptying out his balls. He slumped forward on Tovey's shoulder as the air weaver grunted a slew of curses against his neck.

"Gods," Stan said. He leaned forward, and Hugo shifted toward him, drawn in by the heat of his body. His kiss was soft and sweet after Tovey's, and Hugo's cock twitched again in his hand.

"That has to be the best sex I've ever had." Tovey kissed a wet trail across Hugo's shoulder. "Now I see why you went for more than one at the pleasure houses."

Tovey extricated himself from beneath them by shoving Hugo into Stan's arms.

Stan broke their kiss with a protest, but Tovey was already pulling on his pants and straightening the laces.

"I've never," Stan whispered, resting his forehead against Hugo's. He patted Hugo's thigh. "Up you get. Time to see what's for dinner."

Hugo grabbed the hand towel he'd used for the oil from his bed and wiped off with it, then tossed it to Stan, who had a mess of his and Tovey's cum on his abdomen. Hugo wanted to lick it up, but Tovey was already dressed and pulling on his boots.

Stan continued to stare at Tovey as though the world had broken apart between them, but he didn't speak.

"See you up there." Tovey handed Hugo his robe as he walked past and gave him a quick grin before he disappeared into the hallway.

"He'll never forgive me for that," Stan whispered once Hugo was fully dressed, and he had finally pulled his pants back on.

"Forgive you for what?"

"He accused me of cheating. I got mad at him for thinking I could cheat on him. I was so mad, I agreed with him, which only made him angrier." He sighed. "I did go to the pleasure house. I was friends with the manager, and she let me stay in the back room. I paid for two of her workers to get the healing they needed. I didn't ... but he thinks ..."

Hugo understood, though it sounded like something from one of Klaus's romance novels. "I'm sorry."

"He was going to find fault with me, anyway. I made it easy."

Hugo reached for Stan's hand. He loved the way Stan's fingers completely engulfed his, and he was so warm. "I don't see how anyone could find fault with you, regardless. You're amazing."

"You're only saying that because I helped you come twice in the last quarter-hour."

Hugo blushed. Perhaps he was that easy, but he already knew Stan was generous, kind, and unassuming. If Tovey thought those were faults, Hugo would prove him wrong.

Stan

Tovey glared at Stan when he walked into the galley. He was already seated at the table beside Hannah and across from Klaus, who had the same look of fascination as little Mewskers when he found a rat on deck. Stan doubted Tovey had said anything, but the seeker could have sensed their proximity to each other in the hold, and that would have given him everything he needed to taunt them mercilessly now.

Except he didn't. Klaus was a brat to Vadim, but not to the rest of the crew. He gave Hugo a genuine smile when Hugo sat beside him. There was no room beside Tovey, so Stan sat at the other end of the table, across from Efren.

"Everything all right?" Efren asked.

Stan glanced up at the captain, unable to hide his shame. He and Tovey would probably be at each other's throats again before they reached the Equis Islands, and then Efren would kick him off the ship once and for all.

"I'm asking as your friend," Efren said. "Come see me before you start your shift."

Stan glanced down the table at Tovey, who was staring at his bowl.

"Don't bring the grump." Efren shook his head. "Whatever you've done has him in an even worse mood than usual."

"I'm sorry." Stan wanted to beg for his job, but he knew it wouldn't work. Tovey was the better air weaver. Efren only tolerated Stan because he and Tovey shared power between them.
