He nodded.
Stan thrust his hips up, and Hugo collapsed against Tovey's back, gripping his hips and holding him in place. They worked in tandem. Their cocks slid against each other inside his channel, and he soared on the overwhelming bliss. Without words, Stan shifted beneath him, moving Tovey to a better angle for both Stan and Hugo to pound into him. Tovey fell flat on Stan's chest, his mouth almost close enough to kiss. With an air weave, Tovey shifted the pillows so he could reach, and Stan moaned into his mouth when their lips sealed.
Hugo shifted to his knees behind them, doing most of the moving now that Tovey was lost in the feel of Stan's mouthon his, his hot tongue questing inside, his hand around Tovey's cock jerking him in time with Hugo's thrusts. Tovey was close again. This time, Stan froze beneath him first, and his warm seed spurted deep inside.
Tovey's orgasm tensed every muscle, forcing him to break their kiss as his neck bowed. His cock coated Stan's stomach with white stripes. Stan uttered a shaky laugh as Hugo surprised Tovey, yanking him to his knees again and grabbing his sensitive cock, milking him through his orgasm while he rode out his own, flooding Tovey's channel with more cum.
Tovey felt sticky and wet as Stan's cock flopped out of him, but he didn't care. As Hugo laid him back on Stan's chest and kissed the side of his neck to his shoulder, he felt cherished.
The need to be clean again forced him out of bed, though he wanted to stay there forever. They'd already slept past breakfast at Petri's food stand. When Tovey sat up, he was surprised to see both Hugo and Stan follow.
"We must freeze the ocean again," Hugo said. "May I have your help?"
Tovey nodded. "Whatever you need."
Stan agreed. "But first, a bath."
Hugo laughed at that and raced them downstairs.
Once they were clean, Tovey expected Hugo to go directly to the sentinel oak and ask for an audience with the elders, or the pirate captains. Instead, he left the house through the front door. He stopped to grab Trin, Renald, and even Jasmine, and when they found Petri at the stand cleaning up, they asked them to join, too.
"This might sound strange," Hugo said, "but I think we can all combine power. If the earth weavers share with Stan, and Petri, the twins, and Milton share with Tovey, and Jasmine shares directly with me, I think we'll have enough energy to freeze the ocean again."
"Don't we need to sail to Equis Island?" Tovey asked. The island had been their starting point before, freezing everything south to Embertide's southern shores and then east until Hugo and Frost's combined power ran out.
"I can still feel the weaves."
Tovey had never heard of weaves remaining after they were broken. Once a spell broke, even the bits Klaus could see disintegrated.
"I don't mean they're still there," Hugo said, answering Tovey's thought. "It's almost like muscle memory. I helped Frost set the weave, I checked them daily, and I know how far it needs to extend to set it again. I've been checking them from here. I can set them from here, too. I just need to borrow your power for a bit."
Jasmine shrugged, and the surrounding air chilled several degrees. Then, the flash of cold was gone, devoured as she combined power with Hugo.
Tovey grinned at her. "That was perfect. Exactly how I would have taught you to share power."
She pointed to Stan. "He taught me."
Stan's cheeks darkened as he turned to help Renald and Trin share their power with him. Petri linked with Tovey, easy as breathing. Next came the hard part. Tovey had to feed Hugo his core power through their bond and allow Petri's power to recharge his core. That was the only way Hugo could turn his air ability into an ice weave. It wasn't that he didn't trust Hugo, but he struggled to feed their bond with his power.
Hugo braced for their power with his hands on his hips, his eyes staring blankly at the eastern horizon. The sun was well above them now, but the sweat on Tovey's brow was from more than the heat of the day. He couldn't do it.
Hugo broke his stance to glare at him, but before he spoke, Stan was there, in his mind, walking him through it.
"Share with him the way you share with me. Feed him your air first, and then let it fade to your core power so he can form it."
Tovey almost laughed at the simplicity. It was exactly what Jasmine had done, but he hadn't recognized it because she was sharing ice for ice.
"That's what you do when you allow me to direct earth weaves,"Stan said.
Tovey gave Hugo his air through their bond, and Hugo latched onto it hungrily. Tovey didn't need to relinquish control. Hugo took it from him, diving deep into his core power and weaving the elaborate, powerful spell Frost had used to freeze half the ocean at one go.
Efren, Niall, and Milton joined them on the beach. Niall had always been a quick study. He knew to begin with air and then divert to his core. His core was a far deeper well to draw from then Petri's. When Petri's core energy dipped dangerously low, Tovey released them, and Milton, Roy, and Ray stepped in to take their place. Efren couldn't share directly with Tovey, but he fed his power to Niall, creating an additional link in their chain.
At first, Tovey thought he was feeding power to Hugo, but the more they worked together, the more he realized Hugo was drawing the power from him. He had learned to use the power Coryn had cycled back to him before he'd learned to use his power directly. Tovey wondered if the strange technique was a result of that. The sensation was disconcerting. Tovey had sensed when Petri was getting low on power, but Hugo hadn't slowed his intake. Now, he was draining Tovey's core twice as fast.
Tovey was almost to the danger limit when he felt a powerful snap, like a sail unfurling in the wind or a cable line pulled tight. He felt the sound beneath his feet, and it droppedhim to his knees in the sand. At first, he wondered if the bond between him and Hugo had snapped, since he could no longer feel Hugo's presence in his head, but then he saw Hannah and Nola, both on the decks of their ships, holding a giant tidal wave at bay.
"That didn't happen last time," Tovey muttered. "Did it?"
