Tyson’s face goes beet red. “You said you would never talk about that again!” he hisses.
“Ah, the life of a rock star. Manwhores they are,” Ally sighs.
“You're a rock star,” I tell her. “How come you didn’t live like that?”
She smiles over at me. “Because I had someone worth waiting for. I didn’t need to find pleasure in meaningless moments.” Her eyes flick over to Liam and Nate. “I’d rather have the real thing.”
This girl never fails to make me fall in love with her over and over again.
“Okay, this is too mushy for me,” Ryker announces. “Come on, guys. Let’s go to the after-party.”
“You coming?” Tyson asks Ally.
“You know I never do,” she replies.
“Still always have to ask,” Skyler says. “See you all later.”
We say goodbye, and the guys leave.
“Alright. I’m out,” Ally states, moving so that she’s lying down on the couch. She lifts her legs onto my lap and closes her eyes. “Night.”
For a moment, I think she’s joking, but a few seconds later, she’s snoring softly.
“Did she just fall asleep?” I laugh, looking up at Liam and Nate.
“Yeah,” Liam sighs. “She can sleep anywhere. And after a show, she’s pretty much dead to the world.”
He scoops her up into his arms, placing a kiss on her forehead. She murmurs something as she tucks her face into his neck, not waking at all. They are so damn cute.
And mine. All mine. It’s almost too much to handle.
“Alright.” Gavin picks me up. “Let’s get you back to the hotel.”
“But I’m not tired,” I tell him, still buzzing from the adrenaline of the night.
“Who said anything about sleep?”
Oh yeah. This is going to be one of the best nights ever.
Chapter 19
Ally
“Ally, Kitten,” Nate’s soothing voice washes over me, pulling me from my sleep.
“Mmmm,” I grumble, rolling over to bury my face in the pillow.
“Babe, it’s noon. You don’t wanna sleep the day away,” he chuckles, his fingers brushing hair from my face.
“Yes, I do,” I whine. “I want to sleep all week.”
Yesterday took a lot out of me. Between the weird photo shoot, the conversation with my family, and everything with the concert, my body feels like it’s been hit by a truck.
“Let her sleep,” Liam’s voice sounds from the doorway. “She had a long day yesterday.”
“Okay,” Nate says, standing. “Let me cancel a few things.”
“No,” I groan. “Don’t do that. Go. Do what we planned, I’ll just stay here and get a few more hours of sleep. Then I’ll be ready for our dinner reservations tonight.”
