Turns out, not as many people have been staring at us as I thought there would be. At least, not while we were eating.

Ally chose to go to Clifton Hill, a little amusement place near the hotel we’re staying at.

It’s not that old people can’t ride rides. But Ally seems to forget that most sixty-plus people don’t run from one ride to theother. I feel like a father telling their little kid to slow down and stop running because it’s drawing attention.

But at the same time, it's nice to see Ally let loose and have fun.

So far, we’ve done the SkyWheel, a massive Ferris wheel that I never want to go on again. Turns out, I’m not a fan of heights. At least, not combined with tight spaces and no way to escape.

Then we went to the wax museum. After that, we played mini golf. It was hard not to burst into laughter at seeing an old woman scream with joy, throwing her hands in the air. She got so excited when she won the game that she started dancing. Them fake tits? Yeah, they were smacking her in the face.

I can’t remember the last time I had this much fun.

Not gonna lie, a part of me was worried about how this was going to work. I’m the only one in the pack with one partner. And I’m more than okay with that. Lulu is enough for me. More than enough. That girl owns my heart and soul. I love her with every fiber of my being. And having her wear my mate mark fills me with pride every time I see it on her throat.

Lulu just got back the person she’s been in love with and missing for years, on top of finding her scent matched Alpha. Brady found his scent matched Omega and Nate is involved with Ally and Liam. I thought maybe I’d be the odd one out, pushed aside. I know it’s stupid, and I was overthinking things, but it didn’t change the fact that’s how I felt.

But with each passing day, I’m starting to see that’s not how it’s going to be. Ally makes sure to involve me in pretty much everything. She takes time to sit down and talk to me, including me in conversations.

Lulu makes sure she takes the time to spend with me, too. We get our alone time and that’s the big thing that matters to me.

Sometimes I wondered if things would be better if Ally and I got involved, too. But the thing is, I just don't see her that way.Don’t get me wrong, she’s a good-looking woman with a great personality, but the sparks aren't there. And that's okay.

Still, I think the girls’ idea to get to know Nate and myself better was very sweet. And this is surely a day I don't think I'm ever going to forget.

“Where to next?” I ask, taking a big chunk off my cotton candy and shoving it into my mouth.

She looks at the map, humming as she chooses. “Oh!” she squeals excitedly. “Carnavel Chaos.”

“Sounds interesting."

We head over to the ride and get in line. Ally and I chat while we wait, and as we get closer to our turn, I notice people giving us funny looks. I raise a brow to the man openly staring at me. “You got a problem with a man spending time with his Nana?” I ask, my voice a little intimidating.

He looks away, shaking his head. Ally huffs a laugh. “Thanks, dearie. Nana enjoys spending time with you too.” She makes her voice sound crackily like an old lady, and we both grin at each other.

The ride was fun, and I screamed too much. Something I made Ally vow to never tell Lulu and Brady.

After that, we grab another snack before heading to the speedway.

“Ma’am,” the worker asks. “Are you sure you're okay to drive?”

“I’m fine,” she huffs, snatching the helmet from him. “Mind your business.”

“Yeah, man. Let the woman do what she wants.”

He shakes his head, handing me my own helmet. Like giddy kids, we head over to our carts.

“Be prepared to eat my dust!” she shouts.

“I drive bikes for a living, babe. I think I got this.”

She gives me a quick smile. “We’ll see about that.”

Yeah, turns out, I didn't have it. Bikes and go-karts are not the same.

“Victory is miiiiine!” she shouts when we get off.

“These things are stupid. My legs are too damn big for them,” I grumble, taking off my helmet.
