“No need to try. It comes naturally.”
“What are you doing up so early? And why are you trying to get on my good side?” she teases, raising a brow.
Busted.
“We wanted to see if you wanted to come for a ride with us,” Gavin says, stepping out on the back deck.
That piques her interest. “Where?”
Finding my brother's eyes, I shake my head. “Not here,” he says. “Trust us?”
“Of course.” Lulu’s brows furrow.
“Go get dressed,” I tell her. “We have a meeting in a few hours.”
She raises a brow, looking between the two of us before sighing heavily. “I don’t know what you two are about to get me into, but you're lucky I love you.”
Laughing, I swat her ass as she heads inside.
“You think she’s gonna kill us?” Gavin asks when Lulu is out of earshot.
“No,” I grunt. “I think she’s going to be thrilled.”
“Yeah.” Gavin grins. “I think so too.”
“Wanna tell me why we’re outside the women's prison?” Lulu asks as she takes her helmet off. Gavin takes it from her and helps her off his bike.
Looking around, I make sure there’s no one in sight before bringing my attention back to Lulu. “We all wanted to make sure that bitch stayed in jail, right?” I ask, stepping closer as I lower my voice.
“Well, yeah,” Lulu growls. “She should get the death penalty if you ask me.”
“Whoa now, Little Omega,” Gavin chuckles. “Let’s make sure no one gives you any weapons.”
“Good idea,” Lulu agrees.
Rolling my lips together, I try not to laugh. “Anyways, we weren’t risking the chance of Julia getting out.”
“What did you do?” She narrows her eyes at me.
“Let’s just leave it at its club business,” Gavin answers.
She glances between the two of us. “So you had a hand in making sure she stayed behind bars?” We say nothing. “Good.”She nods. “It’s where she fucking belongs. If I had any sway, I’d be using it too.”
And that would be reason number one million and one why I love this woman. She doesn’t care what we do, what the club does, as long as we don’t involve her directly. And we don’t. That's why we won’t be telling her that we called up our dad to cash in a favor. And it’s also why we won’t be telling her that it’s our club that is now involved with her care at this prison. We now have access to Julia whenever we want.
Money might not have bought off this judge, but respect did. Just so happens that the judge is a good friend of my dear old pops.
“But what does that have to do with us being here?” she asks, looking out at the prison.
“We thought you might want to pay a visit to dear old Julia,” Gavin says, crossing his arms with a knowing smirk.
Lulu’s eyes light up. “They would let me see her?”
“We can get a few minutes alone with her.” I nod.
“Alone as in...”
“No one else around.” Gavin’s grin grows.
