It’s been a few months since the night I stood outside Nate’s bedroom, watching the two of them in a very intimate way that involved me pleasuring myself and then being caught literally with my hand down my pants. And it ended with Nate licking my fingers clean, promising he was working on it. ByitI think he means getting Liam to finally give in to his feelings for me.

If he manages to get the big broody bastard to do that, then the man deserves a cookie.

I really do hope he does, because I’m dying here. It’s not easy being in love with your bodyguard and manager, knowing you can’t have them.At least not at this point in your life, or ever.

I’m going to die alone.

Maybe I can get a cat. Oh! A ferret. I’ve always wanted one of those. They are so cute!

Shaking myself out of my own thoughts, I don’t realize we’re at the dressing room until I look up to see the door open, and a lot of yelling coming from inside.

“What the hell?” My brows furrow, eyes darting up to Liam.

His body stiffens, going all Alpha guard mode. It never gets old.

We head towards the room, and I rush forward before Liam can get in front of me.

My eyes dart around the room, trying to take in what’s going on.

Skyler and the guys stand nearby, looking just as confused as we are, while Maya is across the room sobbing, Benji holding her tightly.

I knew Maya was going to be bringing some friends for me to meet after the sound check, but what the hell happened while they were waiting?

A tall Viking of a man is growling at another man who’s a mirror image of him, apart from the thin wire glasses.

Something out of the corner of my eye catches my attention, and my whole world stops spinning.

My eyes widen, and I can’t believe who’s standing there, wide blue eyes stuck on mine.

Is that really her? Is Lulu really here? Fuck. How didn’t I put it together that she was the friend Maya was bringing to meet me? I know Maya talked a lot about Lulu while we were working together, telling me how amazing she was, hardworking, and the best friend she ever had.

I hated Maya in those moments because she got to have the one person I’ve been pining after for years. The one person who’s been missing from my heart.

Lulu never came to the set, not once. Even though Maya tried to get her to come. I assumed she didn’t want to see me.

So why is she here? Now?

“Lulu,” I whisper, her name a haunted prayer on my lips.

Her lips part, like she’s about to speak, but doesn’t get the chance to before Liam barks, “What the fuck is going on?”

Lulu’s eyes dart up to Liam’s, and a second later, they widen before a whimper slips free as she wraps her arms around her stomach like she’s in pain.

I don’t have too long to worry about her, because it’s my turn to feel like I’ve been sucker punched in the gut.

An overwhelming scent of leather and musk fills my nose, my core heating as slick gushes free. I swallow down my own moan, afraid of what the sound might do.

This can not be happening. This can not be fucking happening.

I stare at the tall blond Alpha, who’s staring back at me like I’m both an angel and his worst nightmare.

I have no fucking idea who this man is, but I’m not stupid. I know what’s going on. Out of all the fucking times this could have happened, I just found my scent match.

And by the looks of it, it’s Lulu’s Alpha.

A low rumbling growl leaves Liam, and a shiver of dread crawls down my spine. Snapping me out of this trance I seem to have with the mystery man, I look up at Liam with furrowed brows, expecting him to be standing guard in front of me.

But nope, he’s next to me, staring right at Lulu.
