I swallow hard, thinking of my past manager who abused me for so long.

I try not to think about her because even though she took so much from me, I gained so much after she was gone.

“It’s in the past.” I lick my lips.

“Yeah. The past.” She nods slowly.

“So...” I laugh. “Seeing how life always likes to throw us curve balls, it only seems fitting it does so again when it comes to finding our scent matches.”

Her eyes widen, as if she forgot about that.

“Brady,” she whispers. “Oh god.” She covers her face. “He must be losing his mind right now.”

“I’m sure Liam is too.” Guilt hits me.

Listen, it wasn’t my plan to take off like that, leaving two Alphas who are probably going out of their minds needing to get to their Omegas, but I panicked, okay?

Which leads me to the other reason I pulled Lulu in here.

“The fact is that it looks like I’m scent matched to one of your Alphas. I’m assuming Brady is yours?”

“Yes,” she says quickly, with a bit of defensiveness.

That makes me smile. “Relax.” I laugh. “He might be my scent match, and sure every part of me feels like I need to go to him like I need my next breath.” That part I don't like. “But I don’t know this man. However, you’re also scent matched to my Alpha.”

“You two are together?” Her brows furrow.

“Well, not exactly.” I sigh heavily. “Liam has a past, one that left him hurt more than once. He has pretty much refused to be with me, despite both of us being crazy about each other. He’s sworn off all Omegas who weren't his scent match to avoid being hurt like that again.”

“But I’m his scent match...” she says slowly.

“That you are.” I grin widely. “Who would have thought? Of all the people in the world, it just so happens to be the girl I’m crazy about.”

“You’re crazy about me?” She smiles.

“More than you know.” Ugh, I want to kiss her again, butno, focus, Ally. There are big life changes happening and things that need to be done.

“I’m scent matched to your Alpha.”

“Yes.” She nods.

“And I’m assuming you don’t want to give him up?”

“Fuck no,” she scoffs, making me laugh.

“And I sure as hell do not want to lose Liam.”

“So what do we do?”

“The obvious choice.” I shrug.

“And that would be?”

“We combine our packs.”

Her eyes widen. “Like share our Alphas?”

“That’s the only thing I can think of that would avoid both of us losing someone we care deeply about.”
